Your Team Responsibilities

As a Sustainability & Climate Sales Specialist, you will drive growth across the France, Belgium and Luxembourg markets by generating new business and building trusted relationships with institutional clients.

You will work with banks, insurers, pension funds and asset managers, connecting their priorities with MSCI’s Sustainability & Climate capabilities. You will develop new opportunities while strengthening existing client relationships, with a particular focus on sustainability and climate considerations, including physical risk.

This is a commercially focused, client-facing role for someone who is energized by pursuing opportunities, building relationships and turning client needs into action. You will work closely with colleagues across Client Coverage, Service, Marketing, Legal, Product Management and Finance to deliver for clients and support MSCI’s commercial goals.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue, renewal and profitability goals.
  • Build and strengthen commercial relationships with existing clients.
  • Identify, pursue and develop new business and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Engage clients consultatively to understand their priorities and connect them with relevant Sustainability & Climate capabilities.
  • Develop a strong pipeline and maintain accurate revenue forecasts.
  • Expand your network and represent MSCI at relevant industry events.
  • Collaborate across the wider sales organization to identify opportunities across client segments.
  • Share market and client insights with Marketing and Product Management teams.
  • Contribute to the development of sales and client-support materials.
  • Monitor and manage client satisfaction and retention across a demanding institutional client base.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 8+ years of experience in results-oriented, target-driven sales organizations.
  • Experience with a range of sustainability and climate topics, including risk management, sustainability strategy, compliance, product creation and related considerations.
  • Experience advising or working with financial institutions such as asset managers, banks, insurers or consultancies.
  • Knowledge of how insurance companies and/or banks operate, including relevant workflows that integrate sustainability and climate data.
  • Strong organizational, presentation and communication skills, with fluency in French and English.
  • A curious and commercially minded approach, with the ability to build trusted relationships and identify opportunities.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams and functions.
  • A strong commitment to integrity and accountability.
  • Fluency in French and English.
  • Understanding of sustainable-finance regulation would be advantageous.
  • An MBA, CFA charter or master’s degree is preferred.
