Your Team Responsibilities

Your Team Responsibilities

The Business Technology team at MSCI plays a critical role in driving enterprise-wide transformation, enabling core business functions through modern platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, the Microsoft Power Platform, and Enterprise Data Warehouse, as well as the underlying infrastructure that supports them.

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Technical Program Manager / Technical Business Analyst to lead complex, high-visibility programs across our enterprise applications and technology estate. This is a senior role: the successful candidate will be expected to own delivery end-to-end for major initiatives, exercise sound independent judgement in ambiguous or high-pressure situations, and act as a trusted advisor to senior technology and business leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring broad, well-rounded delivery experience across enterprise platforms (Salesforce, SAP, Power Platform) and infrastructure-led programs (including large-scale technology migrations and modernization efforts), with a demonstrated track record of steering multi-workstream programs to successful, on-time, on-budget outcomes in a large global enterprise.

You will operate as the senior focal point within a multi-disciplinary team of Architects, Engineers, Product Owners, and Platform Specialists, while partnering closely and confidently with senior stakeholders across technology, finance, and business functions — shaping direction as much as executing against it.

Success in this role requires seasoned programme leadership, strong executive presence, the ability to navigate ambiguity and organisational complexity, and a passion for delivering reliable, scalable solutions that support critical business processes.

Your Key Responsibilities

Technical Program Management

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of major enterprise platform and technology initiatives (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Power Platform, and infrastructure/technology migration programs) from inception through delivery.
  • Develop and own detailed program and project plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource allocation, across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Direct and coordinate internal technology teams, engineering teams, and third-party vendors to ensure successful execution at scale.
  • Own program governance, including status reporting, RAID logs, and executive stakeholder communications.
  • Ensure all solutions meet enterprise quality standards, including QA, UAT, security, compliance, performance, and resiliency.
  • Track and report program progress against defined objectives and KPIs, and represent programme status confidently at senior governance forums.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and cost changes using established governance and change-control processes.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical and delivery risks; escalate and resolve issues at the appropriate organisational level.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to define success metrics and measure the effectiveness of delivered solutions.

Technical Business Analysis

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders, including Finance and other functional leaders, to elicit, analyse, and document requirements for Salesforce, SAP, Power Platform, and related initiatives.
  • Translate complex business and technical needs into functional specifications, system designs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering and configuration teams.
  • Analyse existing business processes and systems — including Finance processes such as Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay where relevant — to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and standardization.
  • Facilitate alignment between business users and technical teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements, constraints, and outcomes, resolving conflicting priorities where they arise.
  • Support solution design by validating requirements against platform capabilities and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Develop user documentation, training materials, and support content for new systems and enhancements.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or platform capabilities), SAP (FICO, S/4HANA) and/or Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Experience delivering large-scale technology or infrastructure migration programs (e.g., platform, server, or cloud migrations) is highly valued.
  • Experience with API-based integrations, enterprise systems, and cloud platforms.
  • Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across technology and business functions, including at executive level, in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with SOX controls, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance is advantageous.
