Your Team Responsibilities

The Analytics Managed Services team at MSCI is a global group of specialists dedicated to delivering first-tier data management and analytics support to institutional clients across the investment industry. Operating from hubs in New York, Monterrey, Budapest, Mumbai, and Manila, we work directly with asset owners, asset managers, hedge funds, banks, brokers, wealth managers, and pension plans to help them get the most out of MSCI's risk and analytics platform.

This is a team at an inflection point. We are actively transforming how we deliver services — moving from a traditional, analyst-driven support model to one built on platforms, applications, and AI-powered automation. The work we do today is shaping what managed services looks like tomorrow, and the people joining us now will be central to that shift.

As part of the team, you will support clients across a broad range of needs — from reporting methodologies and regulatory requirements to technical onboarding and day-to-day usage support. You will also contribute directly to building the tools, workflows, and agentic solutions that define our next generation of client delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities

As an Analytics Managed Services Specialist, you will build deep expertise in data modelling, portfolio reconciliation, and client reporting, while working alongside colleagues and clients across the globe. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Client data analysis: Interpret how modelling and mapping configuration choices drive risk results in client reports, and translate that understanding into clear, actionable guidance for clients.
  • Data quality management: Support clients through data conformance and validation testing, reviewing input files for formatting and content accuracy, and monitoring processing logs to ensure completeness and reliability.
  • Workflow management: Monitor and manage day-to-day operational workflows, maintain client configuration files, and enrich portfolio data with the correct terms and conditions.
  • Issue resolution: Diagnose and resolve market value breaks, lead rejection remediation activities, and provide tailored support across a diverse range of client use cases.
  • Client engagement: Serve as a trusted point of contact for global institutional clients, delivering clear analysis and expert guidance on reconciliation and remediation via phone and email.
  • AI agentic solution development: Design, build, and deploy AI-driven tools that automate data management workflows, reduce manual processing, and raise the quality and consistency of client deliverables.
  • Prompt engineering: Develop and optimise AI prompts to support automation across reconciliation, rejection analysis, data quality, and reporting functions — calibrated to the accuracy standards required by institutional clients.
  • Platform-driven delivery: Contribute to the migration of legacy client deliverables onto scalable, standardised, platform-based frameworks, including MSCI's Spectrum and Asset Manager tools.
  • Continuous improvement: Participate in Agile initiatives focused on process efficiency, innovation, and the ongoing evolution of global delivery practices.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

We are looking for a curious, driven professional who combines strong analytical foundations with an enthusiasm for technology and innovation. The following will set you up for success in this role:

  • Experience: 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in financial services, data management, or a related field. Prior exposure to a similar managed services or client support role is an advantage.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline is required.
  • Technical proficiency: Working knowledge of Python and SQL is desirable. Experience with AI tools, prompt engineering, or agentic workflow development is a strong differentiator.
  • AI and automation mindset: A demonstrated interest in applying AI to solve operational challenges, automate processes, or build data-driven solutions. Comfort working with large language models and modern AI platforms in a professional setting.
  • Domain knowledge: A solid grasp of core financial concepts and market dynamics, particularly within risk management and portfolio analytics.
  • Analytical rigour: Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, with a disciplined attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical teams and senior client stakeholders.
  • Advanced credentials: Postgraduate qualifications such as an MFE, MBA, Master's degree, or CFA are valued but not required.
