Your Team Responsibilities

The Sales Technology Team at MSCI plays a critical role enabling internal teams to manage and execute business processes across the Opportunity to Order value chain (Opportunity pipeline management and Contract Lifecycle Management) as well as Order to Cash processes (integrations with ERP). Salesforce is the strategic platform used by Sales, Client Service, Sales Operations, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, and other business units to achieve their business objectives.

We are seeking a Senior Associate Developer to join our Middle Office Automation and AI team. This hands-on developer will be a key contributor in eliminating manual Sales Operations processes through automation, tech debt reduction, and AI-driven solutions. This role will focus on building and deploying solutions that streamline deal booking, contract generation, financial close processes, and client permissioning workflows.

The ideal candidate is a skilled Salesforce developer with a passion for automation and emerging AI technologies, who thrives in an environment where they can see the direct business impact of their technical work.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy automation solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and other Salesforce technologies to eliminate manual Sales Operations processes.
  • Build integrations between Salesforce and external systems (ERP, contract management, finance tools) using REST, SOAP, and other APIs to streamline Order-to-Cash workflows.
  • Implement AI-powered features including intelligent contract generation, automated deal validation, and smart client permissioning using Agentforce, GPT integrations, or similar technologies.
  • Identify and remediate tech debt across the Salesforce codebase, including refactoring legacy Apex, optimizing Flows, and modernizing outdated architectural patterns.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations, Finance, and Client Service stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze current manual workflows, and design automation solutions.
  • Design and implement data models, triggers, validation rules, and process automations to support streamlined business processes.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure solution quality, performance, and scalability.
  • Write comprehensive technical documentation including solution designs, data flow diagrams, and deployment guides.
  • Support end users with troubleshooting and training on newly automated processes and tools.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide accurate estimates and work breakdown structures, and communicate progress and risks to the team.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, AI/ML advancements, and automation best practices to continuously improve solutions.
  • Proactively identify additional automation opportunities within Sales Operations workflows and propose solutions.

  • In-depth understanding of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, with solid knowledge of the Salesforce platform architecture and capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and a focus on building quality, maintainable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for automation and a drive to eliminate inefficient manual processes.
  • Interest in and aptitude for AI/ML technologies and their application to business process automation.
  • High sense of responsibility and ownership, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.
  • Strong understanding of Sales Operations workflows including deal booking, contract processes, and client onboarding.

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce developer with a focus on automation and process improvement, preferably with in Administrator, Platform Developer I and II certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Expert in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, SOQL/SOSL, REST/SOAP APIs, Salesforce CLI/DX, and Omnistudio. Experience with AI tools (Einstein AI, GPT APIs) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience automating business processes, reducing manual workflows, and remediating tech debt in Salesforce environments
  • Proficiency with Agile development practices, JIRA, and CI/CD tools (Copado, or similar) is a plus
