Your Team Responsibilities

The team is responsible for delivering high-quality financial data and client data services for MSCI's Private Capital Solutions clients. The team manages client data queries, financial data extraction and validation workflows, and the delivery of accurate, timely data outputs to internal and external stakeholders. The team partners closely with Data Operations, Product, Engineering, and Client Service to ensure that data processes - including AI-assisted extraction and validation - are accurate and aligned with client needs. The team oversees data quality governance and continuous improvement of financial data workflows.

Your Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily financial data processing operations for Private Capital Solutions clients, including client data query resolution, data extraction workflows, and end-to-end data delivery, ensuring SLA adherence and operational quality.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or high-priority PCS client data queries, applying analytical judgment to resolve issues and ensure timely, accurate responses.
  • Leverage AI-based data extraction and validation tools, applying analytical judgment to assess outputs, resolve issues, and ensure data accuracy. Own exception management, including root-cause analysis and resolution of systemic data quality issues.
  • Establish and maintain quality benchmarks for AI-assisted data outputs, ensuring they meet accuracy, transparency, and auditability standards.
  • Develop and maintain operational controls and monitoring frameworks for financial data workflows, proactively identifying data quality degradation and process inefficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with data standards, auditability, and operational controls as data processes evolve.
  • Act as a senior liaison to Technology, Product, Data Operations, and Client Service teams, collaborating to improve data pipelines, resolve client issues, and deliver enhancements.
  • Translate operational insights and client feedback into actionable recommendations to improve financial data services and processing efficiency.
  • Mentor and guide Analyst and Associate-level team members, providing technical coaching, reviewing outputs, and supporting onboarding of new staff.
  • Identify, scope, and lead process improvement initiatives, including automation of manual workflows and reduction of exception rates in financial data processing.
  • Produce reporting and analytics on financial data processing performance, operational KPIs, and SLA compliance for senior stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on private capital financial data, client data workflows, and AI-assisted data validation methodologies within the team and across the organization.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, data science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in financial data operations, data management, client data services, or a related financial services role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leveraging AI-based data extraction and validation tools, including the ability to assess outputs, resolve issues, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of leading exception resolution, driving process improvements, and making high-judgment decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional workstreams and manage stakeholder relationships across technology, product, and client-facing teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex financial data topics clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to data accuracy, auditability, and quality assurance in financial data processing and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Knowledge of private capital data, fund administration, or other investment operations datasets.
  • Experience with financial data pipeline tooling, workflow orchestration platforms, or cloud-based data environments.
  • Prior experience mentoring or managing junior team members in a financial data operations or analytical setting.
