Your Team Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed analysis of private capital funds’ financial statements to extract, validate, and maintain accurate holdings- and fund-level performance data
  • Develop and apply an expert-level understanding of internal policies, methodologies, and procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality data representation
  • Interpret complex and varied manager reporting practices across private equity, private credit, real assets, and other private capital strategies
  • Establish and apply appropriate data compilation and tracking methodologies that directly influence how fund and manager performance is reflected to clients
  • Perform advanced quality control and audit reviews, using both system-based controls and analytical judgment to identify, investigate, and resolve data issues
  • Actively utilize multiple internal data processing and validation platforms to manage, analyze, and reconcile financial data across complex workflows
  • Leverage AI-based data extraction and validation tools, applying analytical judgment to assess outputs, resolve issues, and ensure data accuracy
  • Identify patterns, inconsistencies, and anomalies across large datasets and escalate issues through appropriate channels.
  • Effectively communicate reporting methodologies, assumptions, and data outcomes in response to client-facing and internal inquiries
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across multiple global locations to meet service-level agreements, deadlines, and quality standards
  • Adapt to a dynamic, priority-driven workflow, ensuring work is aligned with evolving client needs, deadlines, and strategic targets
  • Provide guidance, review, and ongoing feedback to less experienced and/or fellow analysts, supporting their development and ensuring team-wide quality standards are met

Your Key Responsibilities

The Analyst is responsible for aggregation and reporting of underlying portfolio company investments of private capital investment partnerships. Data is compiled by the examination and analysis of direct fund manager reporting and other sources. The Analyst will also play an active role in leveraging and improving the use of AI tools to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of day to day operations, identifying opportunities to integrate emerging technologies into existing workflows. This information is compiled on behalf of institutional asset owner clients, who use the information for transparency into portfolio composition and analysis of exposure and risk.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong analytical mindset with a high level of attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to interpret complex financial information and apply defined methodologies consistently
  • Self-directed and results-oriented, with the ability to manage priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Willingness and capability to develop deep expertise in policies, procedures, and financial reporting standards
  • Comfort working with large numerical data across multiple systems and tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; ability to learn new platforms and workflows quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain methodologies and findings clearly
  • Bachelor’s degree completed or to be completed within 3 months of hire
  • All majors considered

 

 

Additional Qualifications

 

  • Major in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Technology, Mathematics - considered a plus
  • Familiarity with financial markets, accounting, and private capital
  • Familiarity with Excel macros, pivot-tables, VBA, MS Access, and database concepts
