Your Team Responsibilities

As a Vice President, Sales Specialist, you will serve as a senior commercial leader responsible for driving strategic revenue growth and deepening high-value client relationships across MSCI’s Private Capital Solutions suite. In this role, you will lead the origination and advancement of new business opportunities while strengthening and expanding engagement with existing clients.

 

You will operate as a trusted advisor to senior investment and operational leaders, introducing new product innovations, articulating enhancements, and positioning MSCI’s differentiated value proposition within client workflows. This role requires a sophisticated, consultative sales approach—leveraging extensive knowledge of the investment management lifecycle to identify client needs, shape strategic opportunities, and guide prospects through complex evaluation and decision-making processes.

 

As a Vice President, you will oversee the full commercial lifecycle, including senior-level relationship management, solution demonstrations, contract negotiation, closing of high-impact deals, and long-term account stewardship. The position is highly visible and integral to the growth agenda of Private Capital Solutions, requiring cross-functional leadership and close partnership with Sales Management, Relationship Management, Client Service, Product Management, Legal, and Sales Operations to ensure seamless execution and exceptional client outcomes.

 

Compensation and title will be commensurate with experience and the ability to operate as a strategic, high-impact commercial leader within MSCI.

Your Key Responsibilities

Achieve targeted quarterly and annual new net sales goals · Develop strategic sales plan for allocated sales territory and/or strong sales pipeline. Lead client engagement, needs assessment, and solution pitches · High-level contact with clients/prospects and other major industry participants · Maintain accurate records regarding account visits, client conversations, finalized contracts · Work seamlessly with other departments (Client service, Research, Product Management, Legal, Billing) to ensure that all client requests and inquiries are managed appropriately · Proactively solicit client feedback regarding new initiatives and future product development while also providing feedback from clients to internal partners

Your skills and experience that will help you excel: Minimum 7 years sales experience in the asset management, financial services and/or fintech space · Strong understanding of financial markets and the investment process with some experience with alternative assets. · Strong software skills and overall technical aptitude including comfort with systems for the analysis, reporting, storage and measurement of data. · Excellence in both individual achievement as well as teamwork with a diverse set of departments · Strong communication and negotiations skills. · Undergraduate Degree Required; Graduate level and/or a CFA or CAIA would be Advantageous.
