We are seeking a highly motivated Analytics Sales Analyst to join MSCI’s Americas Broker Dealers & Market Makers (BDMM) coverage team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the growth of MSCI’s Analytics business by working directly with sellside trading desks, risk teams, and portfolio construction groups. The ideal candidate thrives in a client-facing, analytically rigorous environment and enjoys solving complex portfolio and risk management challenges.
This is a front-office role designed to provide deep exposure to client engagement, sales strategy execution, and the full breadth of MSCI’s Analytics solutions — including risk models, portfolio analytics, scenario analysis, and optimization tools.
Support the Senior Analytics Sales Specialist in managing and executing sales opportunities across broker dealers, market makers, and trading desks.
Participate in client meetings, prepare analytics materials, and help articulate MSCI’s value proposition around risk management, factor modeling, and portfolio construction.
Analyze client workflows to identify where MSCI Analytics can add value, improve desk efficiency, or expand usage.
Develop strong expertise across MSCI Analytics, including RiskManager, Barra Portfolio Manager, factor models, stress testing, VaR frameworks, liquidity analytics, and optimization techniques.
Translate client challenges into actionable demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and solution configuration.
Support RFPs, product evaluations, and client onboarding activities.
Assist with prospecting, opportunity tracking, pipeline management, pricing preparation, and coordination with account managers.
Prepare market analysis, competitive positioning, and insights to help drive segment strategy.
Work closely with internal product, client service, and research teams to ensure seamless client delivery.
Partner with the broader Americas Analytics, Research, and Client Coverage organization to align messaging and execute go-to-market initiatives.
Provide structured feedback to product and research teams based on client interactions and workflow observations.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in financial markets, preferably within sellside analytics, sales & trading, or client-facing FinTech/SaaS role
Understanding of equity, fixed income, or multi-asset risk and portfolio analytics concepts (Factor models, optimization, quant signals) preferred.
Exceptional communication skills and comfort engaging directly with quantitative and non-quantitative client stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, revenue-driven environment.
Interest in pursuing or progress toward the CFA or FRM is a plus.
