The Senior Account Management Sales Analyst is a member of the Americas Client Coverage team working closely with Senior Account Managers and Key Account Managers to grow MSCI’s footprint with our largest clients. This person is responsible for supporting efforts to expand the firm’s strategic relationships with our clients by performing extensive due diligence including analysis of their financials, strategic initiatives, competitive positioning, new businesses, etc.  This person plays a key role in the success of the growth of our business with our largest clients by applying his or her understanding of the evolving trends that impact our clients and helping the team to link these to challenges and opportunities that will result in establishing deeper strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will be proactive, have a solid understanding of the investment industry and the client ecosystem, an ability to synthesize information for analysis and application, a good understanding of MSCI and our business and strategy, and strong time management skills given firm internal deadlines on presentation and meeting prep.

Your Key Responsibilities

Scope of Responsibility

 

  • Assist in the expansion of MSCI’s footprint within SAM and KAM client base by uncovering new investment needs, challenges, and opportunities
  • Communicate segment trends and highlight recent wins that can be replicated across other clients
  • Own updates on analyst expectations/recent stock performance for publicly traded companies
  • Synthesize highlights from quarterly earnings calls for the major segments – Asset Management, Insurance and Sell-Side for the SAM client base
  • Attend client meetings (when appropriate) and own follow up projects and tasks
  • Coordinate with Product groups and Marketing to update SAM talking points, key messaging, and content for external meeting prep
  • Embrace the firm's commitment to the client experience

Specific Knowledge/Skills

 

  • Solid understanding of the investment industry, process, and ecosystem
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience with preference within financial analysis/financial services
  • Undergraduate degree required in Finance, Economics or any related field
  • Strong overall sales acumen
  • Excellent English communication and writting skills
  • Ambitious work ethic, professional disposition, detail–oriented and a passion for relationship management and industry
  • Able to communicate effectively and efficiently
  • Be able to work under pressure and to handle multiple tasks efficiently and autonomously in parallel
  • Experience with Sales Force and/or CRM software, preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
