Your Team Responsibilities

The Client Reporting Team – Managed Solutions is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-scale reporting, risk analytics, and regulatory solutions across the full spectrum of the investment and financial services industry. We partner closely with Product, Engineering, Client Coverage, and Data teams to manage the full lifecycle of reporting solutions — from requirements and workflow design to implementation, change delivery, and continuous platform enhancement.

Our solutions serve a broad range of client segments, including:
Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Asset Owners, General Partners, Banks, Institutional Investors, and Wealth Managers.

The Client Reporting Team – Managed Solutions is seeking a technically strong and motivated Analyst to contribute to AI-driven automation and reporting initiatives across MSCI’s enterprise platforms. This role is ideal for early-career engineers who have delivered at least one real AI/LLM-based project and are eager to grow into agentic automation and reporting technology.

You will support the development of next-generation reporting workflows used by asset managers, hedge funds, asset owners, general partners, banks, institutional investors, and wealth managers. The role provides hands-on exposure to AI systems, LLM APIs, automation pipelines, and cross-functional solution delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Build and integrate LLM-powered automation components using APIs, prompt engineering, and lightweight agentic logic.

  • Assist in developing prototypes using RAG concepts, embeddings, and multi-step AI workflows, contributing to solutions that are validated and deployed.

  • Develop Python scripts and utilities to automate data processing, content generation, and validation using libraries such as pyspark, pandas and NumPy.

  • Support integration of AI-driven workflows with data and operational systems such as Snowflake, Salesforce, JIRA, Confluence, reporting engine and internal APIs.

  • Assist with improving reporting templates, JSON configurations, automation scripts, and workflow orchestration logic.

  • Troubleshoot data issues, pipeline errors, validation failures, or automation defects.

  • Collaborate with senior team members to explore emerging technologies in LLM orchestration, agentic workflows, and standards such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

  • Help enhance automation efficiency, scalability, and reporting quality across the platform.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Financial Engineer, Finance/FinTech, or related field.

  • 1+ year of Hands-on delivery of at least one meaningful AI/LLM project, such as:

    • Using OpenAI/Azure OpenAI/Gemini APIs for automation

    • Building a working RAG or embedding-based retrieval workflow

    • Creating a prompt-driven internal tool or script

    • Implementing a simple agentic process or multi-step chain

  • 1+ year of programming experience (Python or JavaScript), including data manipulation (pandas, NumPy) and distributed processing (spark).

  • Understanding of APIs, automation workflows, or scripting-based integrations.

  • Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to pick up new technologies quickly.

  • Excellent English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex) or equivalent libraries.

  • Familiarity with basic ML/data concepts (vector search, embeddings, retrieval).

  • Understanding of CI/CD, Git, or cloud-native concepts.

  • Awareness of microservices, event-driven workflows, or data warehousing concepts.

  • Good to have: foundational investment finance knowledge gained through academics, professional certifications, or prior job experience.
