You will work as part of a delivery focused, talented software development team located across 3 MSCI offiices, in charge of maintaining and enhancing MSCI Corporate Events and Dividend platforms.
You will help us design, test, deploy and support integrated data intensive systems with high availability and reliability standards.
You will take part in the modernization of our current Index Dividends platform using Java, Spring, Oracle for the backend and React + AG Grid + Typescript for the frontend.
You will also be exposed to the Market Factual Corporate Events platform, owned by the same team and leveraging the same technologies.
You will be mostly involved in the backend development but will be trained to help on the frontend side as well.
- The candidate needs to be an exceptionally strong core java programmer, with great knowledge of the Spring framework.
- The candidate should also have strong experience working in a relational database, preferably Oracle, with ability to understand and write complex queries processing high volume of data supporting critical business processes
- The candidate also needs to have business acumen to understand financial concepts around the reference data related equities and other asset classes.
- With key design skills, the candidate should also be able to lead technical discussion with technical experts and business stakeholders.
- Ability to implement a web interface using the Typescript language and a library or framework like Angular, React or Vue is a plus.
