The presales team in analytics plays a pivotal role in connecting client needs with technical and analytical capabilities before a deal is finalized. Their primary responsibilities include understanding business challenges, designing tailored analytics solutions, and preparing proposals and proof-of-concepts that demonstrate value. They act as technical and anlaytical advisors during client engagements, ensuring solutions are feasible and aligned with strategic objectives.
Beyond solution design, the team collaborates closely with sales and delivery teams to ensure smooth transitions post-sale, while also providing market intelligence to position offerings competitively. In essence, presales combines technical expertise, consultative skills, and strategic thinking to drive client confidence and accelerate revenue generation
The key responsibilities of a Senior Associate include modeling client portfolios, preparing reports and presentations, assisting in presenting these to clients and prospects, managing trials by providing training and support, and mentoring junior team members.
Required skills include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with strong financial knowledge and technical proficiency in Python, SQL, and related tools. Professional certifications such as CFA or FRM are preferred. Candidates should have at least 3+ years of experience working with a solution provider or within investment or risk teams at buy-side or sell-side firm
