Your Team Responsibilities

We’re seeking an Associate Designer to join MSCI’s global Design Studio — a collaborative team that shapes the visual expression of our brand across digital, social and event touchpoints.

As part of the Design Studio, you’ll work closely with senior designers, writers, and marketing partners to bring MSCI’s brand to life — creating materials that range from brochures and event graphics to social media visuals, presentations, data visualizations, and campaign materials.

You’ll have the opportunity to grow your craft in a world-class creative environment, learn from experienced design leaders, and help scale our visual identity across the globe. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about design systems, storytelling, and technology — including emerging AI tools that can enhance creative speed and quality.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Support and Contribute to the Design Studio
  • Execute high-quality design work across digital and event channels — including social graphics, presentations, brochures and marketing collateral.

  • Collaborate with senior designers to ensure all work meets MSCI’s brand standards and creative direction.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness.

  • Support the creation of data visualizations and infographics that bring MSCI’s insights to life.

  1. Apply and Evolve the Visual Brand
    • Apply MSCI’s new visual identity consistently across materials while contributing fresh thinking and creative problem-solving.

  • Work within and help refine our global design systems, templates and asset libraries.

    • Ensure all visual materials reflect MSCI’s leadership, clarity and forward-looking brand position.

  1. Leverage Tools and Technology
    • Embrace AI and automation tools to streamline design processes, accelerate production and enhance creative output.

  • Stay current on emerging design trends, technologies, and tools that can improve workflow efficiency and elevate design quality.

  1. Collaborate Across Teams
    • Partner with the Design Studio Lead, Creative Director, Content Marketing Lead and campaign teams to adapt creative concepts across multiple channels and formats.

    • Work closely with marketing partners to understand project objectives and deliver effective design solutions.

    • Be an active contributor to a positive, collaborative and creative studio culture.

  1. Grow as a Creative Professional
    • Seek feedback and mentorship from senior designers and creative leads to continually develop your skills.

    • Participate in internal reviews and share ideas that push the brand’s design forward.

    • Take initiative to learn new tools, design techniques, and creative best practices.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 3-5 years of professional design experience in an in-house marketing, brand, or creative agency environment.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a balance of creativity, layout and attention to detail across digital and print work, particularly for B2B brands.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); bonus if you have experience in Figma, Flourish, or motion tools.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools; PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

  • Strong expertise in PowerPoint and presentation design, including layout, visual hierarchy, and branding to create polished, visually engaging decks.

  • Interest or experience with AI tools for design (e.g., Firefly, Runway, ChatGPT for creative ideation).

  • Excellent visual communication skills and a solid understanding of typography, color, and composition.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Eager to learn, collaborative, and proactive — with a strong sense of ownership and curiosity.

  • Fluent in English; experience working with global teams is a plus.
