Your Team Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Associate Technical Program Manager (TPM) to support delivery and coordination across the AI Horizontal Platform initiatives at MSCI. This role will help manage execution of cross-functional programs that enable scalable AI capabilities across product, data, and engineering teams.

The TPM will play a key role in coordinating deliverables, driving execution discipline, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders as we build and enhance MSCI’s AI platform ecosystem. This includes efforts around model lifecycle management, data readiness, agentic workflows, AI infrastructure integration, and platform governance.

The ideal candidate is execution-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across both technical and business teams. Prior exposure to AI, data, or platform engineering programs is preferred, and domain expertise in financial products, ESG, or analytics will be a strong plus

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support cross-functional AI platform programs – coordinate between product, data, engineering, and operations teams to drive execution of key deliverables.
  • Assist in defining and tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource plans across AI platform initiatives.
  • Partner with TPM and engineering leads to ensure consistent reporting, risk tracking, and timely escalations.
  • Help manage workstreams involving data readiness, model onboarding, MLOps enablement, prompt/agentic workflows, and automation tooling.
  • Facilitate coordination between AI platform engineering and business teams for integration and enablement of AI capabilities across MSCI solutions.
  • Support documentation and knowledge management, including program plans, decision logs, and governance records.
  • Use dashboards or program tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Power BI) to track and visualize program progress.
  • Contribute to AI governance, tooling evaluation, and platform process improvements.
  • Identify operational or delivery challenges and work with teams to propose pragmatic, data-driven solutions.
  • Assist in preparation of status updates, presentations, and summaries for leadership or steering meetings.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 5–10 years of experience in technical program management, preferably in AI, data, or platform engineering environments.
  • Strong understanding of program execution fundamentals — scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and reporting.
  • Exposure to AI/ML lifecycle, data pipelines, or cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with proven ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Familiarity with program management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Power BI, or similar.
  • Ability to translate technical updates into clear summaries for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple initiatives in parallel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in AI or ML platform delivery, MLOps, or agentic workflows.
  • Understanding of data lifecycle workflows (sourcing, validation, processing, modeling, QA, distribution).
  • Domain expertise in financial products, ESG/climate data, portfolio analytics, or indexing — a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, security, or compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency with dashboarding or analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau).

Success in This Role

A successful Senior Associate TPM will:

  • Drive operational excellence and visibility across AI platform initiatives.
  • Improve delivery predictability and collaboration between AI platform and product teams.
  • Help standardize workflows and governance across AI programs.
  • Contribute to the scaling and maturity of MSCI’s AI Horizontal Platform.
