Your Team Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an Associate to join the Private Capital Solutions (PCS) Client Service Team under our Client Coverage organization in Manila.

 

The MSCI Global Client Service team, composed of experienced financial professionals, provides first-tier support for institutional clients worldwide. Team members handle a variety of methodology, usage, interpretational, and technical questions on our products and services, primarily via telephone and email, with occasional travel for on-site presentations or trainings. The role involves working with MSCI PCS products assisting clients to streamline the investment process and enable data-driven decisions for private capital investments. Team members work closely with sales executives and relationship managers to maintain and develop client relationships.

 

Currently, the PCS Client Service teams are present in the following locations: Manila, Stellenbosch, Sofia, Monterrey and New York.

Your Key Responsibilities

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the MSCI PCS product suite and how its products fit into the organization and its processes
  • Analyze, understand and competently address clients’ queries, concerns and requests
  • Act as point of contact and take ownership of all routine client inquiries and data requests
  • Participate in developing client relationships through proactive follow up on issues raised by clients
  • Keep up with current events and trends in the market place, and analyze market performance and data for our clients on a reactive and a proactive basis
  • Maintain relationships by ensuring relevant product information is shared with clients
  • Liaise with other MSCI departments to ensure all clients’ requests/inquiries are managed appropriately
  • Provide on-site/virtual client presentations or trainings
  • Provide client feedback to the Coverage, Product Management, Research, and Production groups
  • Participate in the development of colleagues by training new hires and knowledge sharing throughout the organization

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • A self-starter who is highly motivated, and has the ability to work individually and within a team
  • Strong analytic, quantitative, problem-solving and organizational (i.e., ability to handle multiple projects under tight, short-term deadlines) skills
  • Have a fair understanding of the Private Capital landscape including current trends, key market players and investment strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Korean with the ability to articulate complicated concepts or methodologies verbally and in writing to senior management and clients
  • Able to work with diverse cultures on a global team, and knows when to involve appropriate colleagues in projects regardless of function, geography, and business line
  • Adept in the use of Microsoft Office and tools

 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years of finance, accounting, or investment experience
  • 1-3 years of experience working on portfolio analysis and/or performance measurement
  • 1-3 years of training, consulting, or client presentation experience

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required - Undergraduate Degree in finance, economics, or other related quantitative fields; Highly desired - Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Financial Mathematics or equivalent, either completed or studying a Finance related professional qualification e.g. CFA, CAIA
