Your Team Responsibilities

The Equity Factor Research team develops cutting-edge equity factor models, meeting the needs of a wide range of investment practitioners including asset managers, hedge funds, asset owners, and wealth managers. Our work enhances transparency in equity markets and empowers better portfolio decisions.

As part of the broader Analytics Research team, we collaborate to deliver insights across financial markets, with a focus on equity-specific innovations. We also work closely with product management to drive the vision and strategy for the Analytics business.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Research and advance equity factor models integrating proprietary data and financial theory with modern statistical, data science, and AI techniques.
  • Develop robust, production-quality research code that adheres to computer science best practices, emphasizing efficiency, stability, optimization, and reproducibility.
  • Translate research into practical applications, delivering frameworks and tools that are not only theoretically sound but also efficient and ready for integration into production environments.
  • Collaborate across research and product teams to align modeling innovations with business strategy, ensuring that R&D efforts lead to impactful analytical solutions.
  • Communicate complex research findings clearly, presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences, publishing thought leadership pieces, and engaging with clients to address real-world challenges.
  • Contribute to a culture of research excellence, driving innovation through rigorous model development, algorithmic innovation, and high standards of code quality.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • You are a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual with strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, with proven experience leading and delivering research projects.
  • You are proficient in production-level coding in Python with a strong focus on writing modular, efficient, stable, and reproducible research code.
  • You have hands-on experience with empirical modeling, data analysis, and applying modern statistical, data science, or AI techniques to solve practical challenges.
  • You are comfortable collaborating across research and product teams, ensuring innovations are aligned with business strategy and ready for integration into production environments.
  • You hold a degree (Master’s preferred) in a quantitative field, with knowledge in Finance, Econometrics, Optimization, Data Science, and/or Machine Learning.
