Your Team Responsibilities

The Analytics Managed Services team at MSCI is a group of skilled professionals dedicated to supporting our Risk Management clients worldwide. We deliver first-tier, ongoing services from our global hubs in New York, Monterrey, Budapest, Mumbai, and Manila.

As part of the team, you will play a key role in helping clients address a wide range of needs—whether it’s reporting methodologies, regulatory requirements, technical challenges, or day-to-day usage support. Our specialists partner directly with clients across all segments of the investment industry, including asset owners, asset managers, hedge funds, banks, brokers, wealth managers, and pension plans.

In this role, you will actively monitor and analyze client portfolio data, guiding clients through onboarding as well as providing continuous support. Beyond data management, you will work hand-in-hand with clients to ensure MSCI’s risk and analytics products are seamlessly integrated into their investment processes—helping them make better decisions and achieve long-term success.

Your Key Responsibilities

As an Analytics Managed Services Specialist, you’ll develop strong expertise in data modeling, portfolio reconciliation, and reporting—while collaborating with colleagues and clients across the globe. In this role, you will:

  • Deliver insightful analysis by understanding how modeling and mapping configuration choices impact the risk results delivered in client reports.

  • Ensure data quality by assisting clients with data conformance and validation testing, including checking input files for correct formatting and meaningful content, as well as reviewing processing logs for accuracy and completeness.

  • Maintain smooth operations by monitoring and managing workflows, ensuring client configuration files are set up correctly, and enriching portfolio data with the appropriate terms and conditions.

  • Resolve issues with precision by analyzing and fixing market value breaks, handling rejection remediation, and supporting diverse client use cases.

  • Provide direct client support by engaging with global clients via phone and email, offering clear analysis and guidance on reconciliation and remediation activities.

  • Drive innovation by contributing to Agile projects focused on process improvement, efficiency, and the continuous enhancement of global practices.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Experience: 1–2 years of relevant work experience; prior experience in a similar role is a plus.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field (required).

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Python and SQL is desirable.

  • Advanced Credentials: Postgraduate qualifications such as an MFE, MBA, Master’s degree, or CFA are an advantage but not essential.

  • Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of core financial concepts and market dynamics.

  • Analytical Ability: Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
