Your Team Responsibilities

The Shared Services Observability team  is primarily responsible for conceiving strategic  monitoring solutions for MSCI , building strategic and tactical solutions and tools for Coverage , Application Managment and Client Services o enable world class operations. The selected candidate, as part of his role ,  will have a unique opportunity to design, build and maintain applications and tools for Control and monitoring , supporting the analytics business.  

Your Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a bright and dynamic engineer, motivated and able to work independently as well as work in partnership with team members, Coverage Operations  and IT teams spread across the globe. His prime responsibility will be to support the existing tooling platform we have and it to make it more resilient. Additionally he will have to work in strategic projects to design and develop tools and solutions supporting analytics operations.

  • Gain Expert in shared services technologies – Monitoring, Telemetry , Insights , act as an ambassador to the AppDev teams, representing the vision and goals of the centralized MSCI DevOps team. 
  • innovator in the metrics space, and constantly improve how we generate, store, visualize and alert on our metrics.. 

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 3 -6 years of hands on  in Java object oriented design and development
  • Knowledge of Spring, JMS and the major java technologies
  • Understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals.
  • Unix experience would be highly desired 
  • Has in depth knowledge of Java internals, data structures, java memory model, garbage collection
  • Experience with JDBC, SQL performance tuning and stored procedures on any relational database
  • Experience with any build tools like Maven, Gradle.
