Your Team Responsibilities

The Workplace Technology (WPT) team builds intelligent, automated solutions that enhance employee productivity, streamline IT processes, and elevate digital workplace experiences.

As a ServiceNow Developer, you will:

  • Design and develop scalable ServiceNow solutions to address workplace technology challenges.
  • Build workflows and automation using Now Assist and AI Agents to create smart, context-aware experiences.
  • Configure and enhance Virtual Agent, AI Search, and integration with other systems.
  • Integrate external systems and data sources to deliver connected, AI-powered digital workplace capabilities.
  • Ensure all solutions are secure, reliable, and aligned with development best practices.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow Development & Workflow Automation

  • Design and implement workflows using Flow Designer, Business Rules, UI Policies, and custom scripts.
  • Develop and optimize Service Catalogs, Record Producers, and automation workflows.
  • Configure inbound email actions and implement ACLs for secure data access.
  • Build dashboards and reports for actionable insights and analytics.

AI-Powered Experiences with Now Assist

  • Configure and optimize Now Assist, Virtual Agent, and AI Search for contextual support.
  • Design and author high-quality prompts and conversational intents to build intelligent, human-like AI Agents.
  • Develop conversational flows, topics, and AI Agents for intelligent interactions.
  • Integrate Now Assist with enterprise systems and external data sources.
  • Enhance AI Search for cross-platform, intelligent information retrieval.

Platform Integration & Extensibility

  • Build Scripted REST APIs and integrations with third-party applications.
  • Utilize IntegrationHub Spokes and custom connectors to extend platform capabilities.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure robust, scalable integrations.

Governance, Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Adhere to ServiceNow development best practices, version control, and documentation standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and manage releases via update sets.
  • Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements and align solutions with business goals.
  • Monitor platform performance and drive continuous improvements using analytics and feedback.

 

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

ServiceNow Platform Expertise

  • Proficient in Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, and UI Actions.
  • Hands-on experience with Now Assist, Virtual Agent, and AI Search.
  • Experience building custom skills, topics, and agentic workflows.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, data models, and ITSM modules.
  • Familiarity with IntegrationHub, MID Server, and custom integrations.
  • Ability to design reusable, efficient, and scalable automation components.

AI & Intelligent Automation

  • Proven experience configuring and optimizing Now Assist, Virtual Agent, and AI Search.
  • Strong ability to write, test, and refine prompts for AI Agents and conversational workflows.
  • Understanding of GenAI, LLMs, and AI-driven automation principles.
  • Ability to design and implement conversational AI experiences using ServiceNow.
  • Experience building custom AI Agents that integrate with external systems and enterprise data sources.
  • Knowledge of prompt design strategies to ensure consistent, accurate, and responsible AI outputs.

Programming Skills

  • Skilled in JavaScript and Glide APIs for client/server-side development.
  • Experience with Scripted REST APIs, JSON/XML, and integration best practices.
  • Ability to design reusable, efficient, and data-driven automation components.
