Your Team Responsibilities

We’re seeking a VP of UX Design to lead the vision and execution of transformative experiences for the GP Solutions segment within MSCI’s Private Assets business. This senior individual contributor role blends hands-on design with strategic influence, shaping next-generation solutions including AI-led product design. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and the wider UX design team—ensuring alignment, breaking silos, and driving cohesive outcomes—while guiding product direction through your expertise.

Your Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full product design lifecycle—from discovery and ideation through delivery and iteration—ensuring intuitive, cohesive, and scalable experiences.
  • Design innovative interaction models for complex and AI-driven features, with a focus on usability, trust, transparency, and end-user value.
  • Act as a thought partner to product, engineering, and business leaders—shaping requirements, influencing priorities, and aligning roadmaps through design expertise.
  • Actively break silos by fostering collaboration across functions, ensuring user needs remain central in decision-making and execution.
  • Deliver high-fidelity UI and UX assets, including dashboards, data visualizations, prototypes, and user flows that reflect both design precision and strategic intent.
  • Contribute in agile sprints, guiding implementation with clear design specifications while ensuring quality execution.
  • Mentor and inspire junior designers, modeling best practices in design thinking, problem-solving, and user advocacy.
  • Advance and evolve design standards and systems that elevate consistency, usability, and innovation across Private Assets products.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience applying user-centered design methodologies, with expertise in complex product ecosystems; experience with AI-driven design strongly preferred.
  • Mastery of design tools such as Figma and FigJam; experience with AI design tools (e.g., Figma Make, Lovable) a plus.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating advanced UI design, and the ability to deliver both hands-on execution and strategic direction.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, align cross-functional teams, and mentor junior designers to raise the bar on design excellence.
  • Well-versed in Agile product design practices and the software development lifecycle (SDLC), with experience integrating design seamlessly into iterative delivery models.
  • Can direct self and others in both planning and structuring the work, and executing on expected levels of quality.
  • Experience in designing for financial services or payments solutions a plus.
