Your Team Responsibilities

Join MSCI’s Private Assets Product team, where you’ll help drive the next wave of innovation that empowers institutional investors navigating private markets. This Associate product management role exists to support and accelerate the development of cutting-edge solutions in private asset infrastructure, building in an AI first environment. The goal is to create tools that support client investment processes through better-informed decisions. You’ll work at the forefront of collaboration, discovery, and delivery—translating market insights and client needs into tangible products that drive business growth. Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support ideation and discovery initiatives of new products in private markets 
  • Support the creation of business cases by conducting deep market due diligence on competitive landscape, opportunity sizing and market positioning 
  • Evaluate paths to product creation, including but not limited to, buy, build or partner 
  • Perform wide reaching industry, client, and competitor analysis  
  • Designing pricing models and support sales campaign planning and execution  
  • Work with Program Management, Marketing, and Coverage to assist coordination of go to market planning and execution including subject matter expertise for the development of product support collateral and client facing documentation  
  • Collaborate with Coverage, Program Management, Technology and Data Services to assess & maintain prioritization of product development requirements  
  • Analyse product usage statistics and reporting to develop insights into client behaviors, needs, product opportunities and risks  
  • Prepare reports or analysis for MSCI’s senior management business reviews  
  • Support strategic client opportunities from a product perspective  
  • Become an AI champion, leading prototype design work to bring product ideas to life  
  • Build deep knowledge of Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions 

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 2+ years of experience in a product management role, with domain expertise of financial services, private markets or artificial intelligence 
  • Experience in business/financial analysis, data analysis, process mapping and specification writing, and familiarity with the product management & development lifecycle  
  • Experience working with a variety of data sets and databases to define and refine product strategy and for developing and delivering management reporting  
  • Knowledge and understanding of AI tools such as Lovable, ChatGPT, LLMs etc. 
  • Interest in applications of AI (prior experience working with AI is preferred) 
  • Detail-oriented and analytical approach to problem-solving with a strong execution mindset 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA, CFA, or CAIA preferred) 
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and intellectually curious with a growth mindset and passion for innovation
