Your Team Responsibilities

The individual will be part of our Global Index Products team and and contribute directly to the development and execution of strategies that drive the growth of our Index franchise.  The Index Product

Associate will work closely with senior members of the team while collaborating across functions such as Coverage, Finance, and Research, and will gain exposure to stakeholders across all regions.

 

This role will have a particular focus on supporting the EMEA Asset-Based Fees (ABF) Licensing strategy, through data-driven analysis, pipeline monitoring, competitive intelligence, and process improvements. The Index Product Associate will also support the team’s efforts to apply AI-driven tools and techniques to improve market intelligence, automate reporting processes, and uncover insights that inform strategic decision-making.

 

To that end, the expectation is that the individual brings the necessary understanding of business analytics, front-end data reporting, and business intelligence tools to drive the creation of dynamic, digestable, and actionable reporting solutions. 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of the EMEA ABF Licensing strategy through timely, high-quality analysis and reporting.
  • Maintain and monitor the product opportunity pipeline, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data and reporting.
  • Work with senior Index Product stakeholders to assess reporting requirements and support the design and development of impactful visualization and reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate across the Index Products team and other business units to identify synergies, share best practices, and implement process improvements.
  • Develop deep expertise in MSCI’s index business and product suite, leveraging this knowledge to identify and communicate strategically relevant insights within the Product team.
  • From time to time, deliver clear and effective presentations to senior executives relating to key metrics and business trends.
  • Work on ad-hoc queries that may involve investigating and/or presenting particular business intelligence metrics or trends to support decision-making.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 3–5 years of relevant work or internship experience in business intelligence, analytics, finance, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Passion for data and highly analytical mindset; ability to translate data into informative visuals while also being able to draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools and AI-driven analytics techniques, including experience building dashboards, reports, or automated processes that support decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM is desirable, with experience managing data, generating reports, and supporting pipeline tracking.
  • Creative, self-motivated problem-solver who proactively identifies and implements innovative ideas.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills and ability to work both independently and across teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with the ability to see the broader strategic picture.
