1. As a prerequisite, the successful candidate will be widely considered an expert within Wealth Management, having a minimum 10 years’ Wealth experience and hence an in-depth understanding of the Wealth Management sector. Although may have a background from a Wealth Management or report under the CIO, perhaps with a focus on asset allocation and/or risk, most likely she/he will not have spent their entire career making investment decisions. More likely she/he has undertaken multiple different senior roles within Wealth and thoroughly understands not just the inner workings of a Wealth Manager but how Wealth fits into the broader FS ecosystem.
2. Although not necessarily a quant, she/he will have strong technical, multi-asset class experience and ideally a deep understanding of quantitative analytics tools, indexes and ESG.
3. Extensive experience in product and general management with a balance of product creation and commercial realization i.e. building businesses through identifying market opportunities, developing products and executing on business strategy.
4. Proven track record of being instrumental in the development of a successful global Wealth Management business.
5. Large network within the Wealth space and the ability to build new relationships to position MSCI for growth in this area.
6. Experience with applying consulting techniques to solve client complexity relating to target state architecture and operating model design as it relates to Wealth Technology.
7. Private Assets experience is nice to have.
