Your Team Responsibilities

This role is ideally suited to an analytical individual who has demonstrated interest and experience in global investing, capital markets and the asset management industry.

In an exciting and dynamic environment, as an MSCI Inside Sales you are responsible for assisting our Sales Coverage and Clients in expanding and increasing the usage of the industry-leading suite of products and services that support the integration of MSCI data and services into investment decisions. Opportunities for growth lie within the Client Coverage Team in the APAC region.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting senior relationship managers covering strategically important clients:
    • Build and maintain direct relationships with senior procurement and data implementation teams at a strategic account
    • Prioritize demands from the relationship manager and coordinate with the other departments: Product development, Legal, Sales Operations, Finance to ensure timely execution
    • Prepare data and analyses. This might include pro-actively seeking support and data from other departments in the company
    • Ownership of contract preparation and following through to ensure delivery of the data to strategic account
  • Actively contributing to revenue generation:
    • Support the creation of sales proposals
    • Answer detailed client inquiries about MSCI products and methodologies
    • Maintain accurate records regarding account visits, client conversations, finalized contracts, etc.
    • Proactively solicit client feedback regarding new initiatives and future product development
    • Set-up and participate in prospective client product demonstrations that accelerate client decision-making
    • Lead identification, prospecting and qualification – work closely with Sales to close new opportunities (e.g., understanding client’s needs and use knowledge and experience to provide solutions for the client to meet their objectives)
    • Drive outbound communication and client engagement
    • Identify potential new clients or leads based on strategic research and market insights
  • Assisting in sales campaigns carried out by the sales teams. This may include:
    • Using internal databases to prepare revenue analysis to aid contract negotiations
    • Preparing market analysis to aid sales efforts
    • Informing the client about the latest improvements to our products
    • Act as Client Coverage business catalyst that increases the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and people
    • Generate and support commercially sound ideas that create future value
    • Engage in immediate Coverage and wider teams and facilitate joint projects with other departments
    • Act as an advocate for your team and can present information convincingly and credibly
    • See issues from the clients’ perspective and the impact of decisions on client service
    • Senior expert who is a key advisor on business/product decisions
    • Positively impact and consistently deliver strong results against goals and help Coverage colleagues with achieving their sales targets
    • Understand client’s needs and use knowledge and experience to provide solutions for the client to meet their objectives and manage their expectations
    • Build an effective network of internal contacts and seek to understand issues in the context of the broader business
    • Understand the constraints and capabilities, identify potential obstacles, act upon and escalate issues appropriately
    • Proactively inform senior management of business opportunities and constraints
    • Develop practical solutions using sound judgment, problem‐solving abilities, most current technical and professional skills
    • Understand the commercial, legal, financial, and HR issues in countries where the Firm operates
    • Adopt a flexible style in dealing with a variety of challenges
    • Build consensus by reinforcing inclusiveness, knowledge sharing, and values
    • Create an environment which fosters growth and development of people and ideas
    • Encourage people to look at opportunities for continuous improvement to existing procedures

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Very strong interest in financial markets and investment products - Private Capital would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • A self-starter with the ability to work individually and within a team
  • Superior communication and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects independently
  • Highly motivated
  • Familiar with MS Office, especially Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

 Desired Experience

  • At least 5-8 years of experience in the financial services industry preferred

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Finance or Economics degree preferred)
