Your Team Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated, analytical individual with a passion for global investing, capital markets, and the asset management industry with a keen interest in Sustainability & Climate investing. As an Inside Sales Associate at MSCI, you’ll support our Sustainability & Climate Sales team and clients across EMEA in expanding adoption of MSCI’s industry-leading data and solutions.

This role offers you an opportunity to get to know our global client base including some of the world's largest banks, hedge funds, pension funds and asset managers and to gain deep insight into Sustainability & Climate Investing. Opportunities for growth lie within the Client Coverage Team in the EMEA region.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a member of the EMEA Client Coverage Team, you will be responsible for providing dedicated support to our Sustainability & Climate Sales Specialists, enhancing their sales efforts, and making a measurable contribution to the organization’s revenue objectives.

Activities in your role will range from pre-sales tasks, preparation of sales proposals, driving the contract preparation process, ensuring the timely onboarding of clients and the execution of contracts. You will work closely with the sales specialists to manage workload and determine priorities and you will take a key role in the internal coordination with other teams and departments who are vital to the working process: Legal, Sales Operations, Finance. You will contribute to client onboarding and retention by responding to prospect/client queries and facilitating next steps in sales cycle and establish and maintain strong working relations with all clients you support. As part of the Inside Sales team you will:

  • Actively seek to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues
  • Establish and maintain strong working relations with all clients you support
  • Ensure that best sales process practice is followed and that high standards are maintained
  • Volunteer to participate in Client Coverage group projects or initiatives across teams
  • Generate ideas to improve sales processes through creative problem solving and process innovation
  • Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and discretion, especially with confidential data
  • Stay current on industry trends and evolving client needs
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values learning and continuous improvement

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 2–5 years' experience within the financial industry and/or sustainable investing
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics or equivalent
  • Fluency in English and second language knowledge is desired
  • Superior communication and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects independently
  • A self-starter with the ability to work individually and within a team
  • Highly motivated and detail oriented
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills
  • Familiar with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • SalesForce knowledge is a plus
  • Use of AI-tools, ChatGPT is a plus
