MSCI, Inc. seeks ESG Sales Analyst in San Francisco, CA to conduct comprehensive ESG research and analysis to support sales strategies and client engagements.
Support the sales team in San Francisco to meet business objectives. Lead campaigns to drive new revenue for the ESG business line at MSCI. Coordinate and communicate amongst the various internal teams to develop better solutions regarding internal processes. Conduct cross-selling exercises to increase revenue and create upsell opportunities. Conduct renewal management of ongoing subscriptions. Work on implementation of global deals. Manage relationships focusing on the wealth and asset management segment. Help clients understand the MSCI tools and guide them towards the best solution for their particular use case. Assist the sales process from the prospecting phase through the onboarding and services implementation. Cold calling and cold emailing new prospects. Assist with pipeline and opportunity management. Navigate client contracting process from initial contact to completed commercial agreement. Interface and demonstrate data use cases to clients. Educate and pitch new datasets to prospects. Operate company CRM software in addition to PowerBi, Salesforce, and Copilot. Construct client presentations involving Excel, Power Point and Word programs. Experience with licensing and legal framework including agreement creation, amendment creation, assignment letter creation. Understand MSCI’s organizational structure and client facing responsibilities, including multi-national client structures and internal and external stakeholders. Participate in sales lifecycles including pre-sales activities, process management and post-sales client maintenance. Liaise with sales coverage and coordinating with Legal, Sales Operations, Client Service, Product and Finance to ensure timely execution of deliverables. Create, finalize, and process client contracts. Coordinate with internal stakeholders for implementation of data delivery and permissions to clients. Arrange delivery and permission of data to clients. Build a deeper understanding of MSCI’s business and products to better identify strategic information and be able to take on more strategic projects. Work on ad-hoc queries that may involve investigating and/or presenting client segment, market or product metrics or trends.
SALARY & WORK SCHEDULE: $116,500 to $116,500/year, 40 hrs/wk
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: operating and enriching company relationship management software including PowerBi, Salesforce, and Copilot; constructing client presentations involving Excel, Power Point and Word programs; utilizing experience with licensing and legal framework including agreement creation, amendment creation, assignment letter creation; utilizing experience with organizational structure and client facing responsibilities, including with multi-national client structures and internal and external stakeholders; liaising with sales coverage and coordinating with Legal, Sales Operations, Client Service, Product and Finance to ensure timely execution of client deliverables; utilizing data to prepare Account review reports, renewals, and analyses; and creating, finalizing, and processing contracts following arrangement of delivery and permission of data to clients. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site.
