MSCI, Inc. seeks Vice President, Analytics Client Consultant in San Francisco, CA to support a suite of portfolio and risk management analytics products and services.
Share best practices in risk management and portfolio construction, explain complex analytics applied to equity, fixed income, and multi-asset class portfolios, and partners with the sales team to provide expertise in client engagements. Build and expand product expertise among our risk and ESG products and services to integrate their analytic outputs into the client's portfolios. Assist with portfolio of clients with a focus on our proprietary product usage, analytics support, and account renewal and retention. Monitor client relationship to identify potential client retention risks as well as upsell opportunities. Proactively engage the client to deepen the relationship across all levels of the client institution. Expands MSCI footprint within the client's organization to make our tools and services their primary solution across all tiers, solidifying our relationship as well as our renewal/upsell potential. Work with other MSCI teams to ensure that all clients requests/inquiries are managed appropriately and resolved timely. Engages with the ESG coverage and product teams to integrate our content and analytics as quickly as possible with short term patches as well as long term solutions so our clients see MSCI as a one stop shop. Train and educate clients on MSCI risk and portfolio management analytics applications and underlying models and methodologies. Introduce clients to our flagship products to build client engagement and self-reliance. Tailor training sessions for specific client use cases and audience. Identify opportunities to increase client usage of our products and identifies potential new users. By constant engagement with clients, identify needs where MSCI can add value and connect with the right teams within the client's organization as well as within MSCI to foster such relationship that eventually might turn into run rate. Keep the client informed of our proprietary product roadmap with a focus on the specific benefits with our product development that meet client’s business goals. Work on analytics requirements needs to proactively solicit client business by meeting their needs with product management and research. Utilize advanced knowledge of MSCI’s products to present at workshops, seminars, and webinars. Leverage our product expertise to analyze the client’s portfolios through our models and produces engageable content that can be presented in client workshops.
SALARY & WORK SCHEDULE: $168,700 to $168,700/year, 40 hrs/wk
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing experience in portfolio construction and optimization, risk management, quantitative and proprietary trading, and quantitative research in a portfolio management or risk management function; utilizing experience at a hedge fund, asset manager, bank, financial technology firm, or broker dealer; utilizing experience with Barra risk models and application software; utilizing client relationship management experience in the financial services industry. 10% travel required nationally/internationally. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site.
