Your Team Responsibilities

Based in Monterrey, the role provides local, regional and global support for our Compensation and Benefits plans and programs. Manages and supports the benefits and compensation programs to ensure consistency and competitiveness to achieve the organization’s goal to attract, identify, develop and retain a high performing and engaged workforce. Performs research and analysis on benefits and compensation policies and practices including, job evaluation, base salary, variable pay, internal equity, external market trends, and regulatory compliance. Develop collaborative employee, client and HR relationships to support effective and efficient compensation and benefits needs and services.

 

The role reports to a New York manager.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and support the project management of compensation and benefits-related programs and initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership and HR Business Partners to ensure the successful adoption of new plans and processes. Develop supporting communications and provide training as needed.Ensure the administration of compensation programs are in compliance with established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement to existing processes and procedures.
  • Conduct internal and external reviews for all new hires and transfers
  • Serve as the primary source of benefits expertise for Regional Management and Country HR.Actively plan and drive the governance and agenda for all Benefits programs in Mexico and Brazil.
  • Participate in local external compensation benchmarking surveys
  • Manage the benefit renewals and ongoing administration of all benefit plans and programs in Mexico and Brazil
  • Provide reporting, support and guidance to managers and HR
  • Train local managers in various compensation and benefits processesRespond to ad hoc requests and support special projects as neededLead Wellbeing@MSCI initiatives, communications and events for the employees in Mexico and Brazil.
  • Administer the Stock Plan, including weekly termination updates, monthly reporting, quarterly dividend equivalent processes, and the management of new grants, stock vesting, and releases.Year end compensation review process support
  • Support global initiatives and special projects

The ideal candidate must: 

  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving capabilities 

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication abilities and be able to communicate at all levels within the organization 

  • Thrive in a dynamic environment and act as an advocate for change.Execute multiple, time-sensitive projects while maintaining focus and a positive attitude 

  • Build strong relationships across different functions within the organization 

  • Be intellectually curious and driven to solve complex problems in an innovative manner, while also being able to communicate those solutions in a concise manner 

Education and Experience:

  • College degree with 5-7 years of compensation/benefits experience 

  • Experience in Local benefits and pension coordination and administration 

  • Experience in regional/global reporting and detailed compensation analysis and proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines successfully 

 

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.Strong relationship management abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Quick learner and problem solver who works well in ambiguous situations
  • Advanced analytical skills and  research and resolutions capabilities
