Your Team Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to join MSCI’s Private Assets division in a high-impact and highly desirable role at the forefront of one of the fastest-growing segments in global finance. As a Vice President, Sales based in Singapore, you will lead strategic new business development efforts focused on General Partners (GPs) across the Asia Pacific region—covering private equity, private debt, infrastructure, and other real assets.

With private capital markets undergoing rapid expansion and increased demand for data-driven decision-making, this role offers the chance to be a key player in delivering benchmarking, portfolio analytics, and private asset solutions to some of the most sophisticated investment managers in the region.

You will drive the full sales cycle, from origination to close, while managing senior-level relationships and collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver best-in-class solutions. This is a rare opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the growth of MSCI’s Private Assets franchise in an entrepreneurial, global, and fast-evolving environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

Market Development & Revenue Generation

  • Lead new business origination with General Partners in private assets across Asia Pacific.
  • Promote MSCI’s benchmarking frameworks, portfolio management tools, and private assets data solutions to support GPs with performance tracking, portfolio construction, and investor communication.
  • Design and execute region-specific sales strategies that align with MSCI’s commercial priorities and market opportunity.

Strategic Sales Execution

  • Own the complete sales lifecycle—from lead qualification and needs analysis to solution pitching, pricing, and contract negotiation.
  • Manage complex deal cycles involving multi-stakeholder decision-making across investment, operations, and client servicing teams.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting, opportunity tracking, and CRM discipline.

Client & Market Engagement

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers including CIOs, Heads of IR, Portfolio Managers, and COOs at GP firms.
  • Represent MSCI at major industry events and forums across the region to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate across internal functions—including Product Management, Research, Legal, Relationship Management, and Client Service—to deliver customized client solutions and operational excellence.
  • Feed market intelligence and client feedback into product development and strategy teams to shape the evolution of MSCI’s private assets offerings.

Leadership & Mentoring

  • Support team development by mentoring junior sales professionals and contributing to a high-performance, collaborative culture.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

Experience & Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in institutional sales or strategic business development, ideally within private capital, investment analytics, financial technology, or asset management.
  • Proven success in engaging General Partners and delivering sophisticated portfolio solutions or data-driven tools.
  • Strong grasp of private asset benchmarking, performance attribution, and portfolio analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and influence senior executives across geographies and functions.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Technical fluency and the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and solutions.
  • Undergraduate degree required; CFA, CAIA, MBA, or Master’s in Finance highly valued.
