Your Team Responsibilities

As intelligent agents and LLM-powered systems become increasingly complex and adaptive, validating their performance and alignment becomes critical. MSCI’s AI Engineering team is seeking an Associate to contribute to our emerging validation platform, which assesses AI behaviour in agentic contexts and provides infrastructure to monitor and optimize for user-aligned outcomes.

This role combines systems thinking with an appreciation for real-world behaviour, enabling automated and human-in-the-loop feedback for AI outputs. You’ll work alongside experts in data governance, ML ops, and platform development to build scalable infrastructure that audits and evaluates AI usage in secure environments.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Build components for simulation, logging, and replay of agent behaviours for validation and evaluation.
  • Integrate validation logic into the agent platform pipeline, including policy checking and behavioural scoring.
  • Contribute to feedback loops that enable automated and user-guided improvement of agent performance.
  • Implement privacy-preserving logging and telemetry systems, aligned with data sovereignty and entitlement constraints.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in governance, legal, and product to ensure compliance and explainability in validation workflows.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Experience building testing, validation, or observability systems in ML or production software environments.
  • Working knowledge of common agent architectures, LLM prompting strategies, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Comfort working with structured logging, tracing, and evaluation frameworks across GCP or Azure environments.
  • Familiarity with common agentic development platforms like OpenAI agents sdk, google’s adk, langchain, etc
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on automation and reproducibility of complex behaviour traces.
