Your Team Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of MSCI's Global Index Products team and to play a direct role in supporting MSCI's commercial excellence and driving the growth of MSCI’s index franchise with a focus on the EMEA Index business.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, will be analytical, details oriented and have an 'owner operator' mentality with an ability to deliver results in good time. They will work closely with a talented and dynamic team including Index Product colleagues, EMEA Client Coverage and functional teams both in the EMEA region and globally.

 

The role will have a particular focus on the EMEA Index Subscription business and is critical in ensuring that all commercial activities align with internal commercial frameworks while enabling innovation and subscription run rate growth. The role bridges governance with innovation—ensuring pricing discipline while enabling scalable, strategically-aligned growth. 

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate commercial proposals, pricing terms, and discounting structures across all markets and client segments.
  • Ensure commercial deals align with internal commercial frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Provide proactive guidance to Client Coverage on deal structuring and pricing integrity.
  • Generate analysis on product sales trends, identify gaps and capture opportunities to accelerate sales.
  • Monitor cancellation trends to identify commercial drivers and develop retention strategies.
  • Champion the use of AI to generate data-driven insights, analyze pricing trends, and drive periodic reviews of MSCI's commercial frameworks.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams to design, execute, and track the performance of tactical campaigns, commercial initiatives, and new product launches.
  • Formulate, own, and execute strategic projects of all sizes aimed at delivering best-in-class outcomes for the business.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial strategy, product or project management.
  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional projects and driving measurable impact.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills and ability to work both independently and across teams.
  • Structured approach, strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with tools like Excel, Power BI, SQL, or Python is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
