Your Team Responsibilities

The Finance Process Innovation and Optimization (FPIO) team is responsible for driving scalability, technology-enabled transformations across MSCI”s global Finance organization. We are seeking a results-oriented and technically adept Senior Associate to support the delivery and scaling of AI-driven and automation initiatives that improve process efficiency, enhance control, and reduce manual effort. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of transformation projects — from use-case development and feasibility analysis through implementation, performance monitoring, and change management. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across Finance, Technology, and Procurement teams to bring forward solutions that align with MSCI’s strategic and regulatory objectives.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • AI Use-Case Execution:
Partner with stakeholders to evaluate, scope, and deliver AI use cases across finance processes (e.g., Revenue Recognition, Billing, Treasury, Close, and Reporting). Support feasibility analysis, data validation, testing coordination, and deployment readiness.
  • Program Coordination & Delivery Support:
Manage project plans, maintain status updates, and track deliverables across multiple AI initiatives. Coordinate efforts between business users, developers, and control functions to ensure timely and compliant execution.
  • Training & Adoption Enablement:
Support AI training programs and enablement campaigns. Track completion and usage metrics, manage system access, and identify adoption barriers to drive sustained usage.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
Maintain AI adoption dashboards and KPI trackers. Monitor outcomes such as FTE savings, error reduction, and usage trends, flagging optimization needs where applicable.
  • Implementation & Governance Support:
Assist with implementation and governance of AI and automation tools. Contribute to SOPs, control documentation, and audit readiness activities to ensure long-term sustainability and compliance.
  • Change Management & Communications:
Prepare stakeholder materials, facilitate updates and feedback loops, and support rollout communications across finance teams.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 5–8 years of experience in finance transformation, business analysis, or automation program delivery—preferably in a financial services or public company setting.
  • Strong Business Analyst (BA) skill set, including requirements gathering, process mapping, stakeholder engagement, and solution documentation.
  • Exposure to AI/ML tools, intelligent automation, or finance process optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly PowerApps and Power Automate, is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau); experience with project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, SEC, statutory reporting) and ERP environments is desirable.
  • Team player who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional settings.
