Your Team Responsibilities

The APAC Marketing team at MSCI is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives designed to accelerate MSCI’s ambitious growth objectives in APAC. MSCI’s global marketing organization is dynamic and fast-growing, committed to effectively communicating our innovative solutions to institutional investors, asset managers, pension funds, private equity firms, wealth managers, and financial intermediaries to help them make more informed investment decisions.

Your Key Responsibilities

This critical marketing role will have a strategic emphasis on driving growth within the Private Assets business in APAC, collaborating closely with the APAC marketing team, Global Private Assets marketing team, and marketing centers of excellence.

  • Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to tailor global Private Assets brand building and marketing strategies for the APAC region, aligning closely with the strategic priorities and commercial objectives of the business.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies to drive awareness, demand generation, and market adoption of MSCI’s Private Assets offerings in APAC.
  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns that highlight MSCI’s value proposition, targeting key client segments such as asset managers, institutional investors, consultants, wealth management platforms, and private equity general partners.
  • Partner closely with product management, coverage, and research teams to develop impactful, relevant content and messaging that resonates with regional market dynamics and client needs. This includes repurposing or regionalizing global content to ensure alignment with APAC market requirements, incorporating APAC-specific data, insights, and takeaways as appropriate.
  • Actively coordinate with MSCI’s marketing centers of excellence teams to leverage specialized expertise and optimize multi-channel marketing efforts including digital marketing, events, webinars, thought leadership, and PR activities specific to the private assets landscape.
  • Deliver data-driven marketing insights and campaign analytics, ensuring continuous refinement and optimization of marketing initiatives.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key external partners, industry associations, and vendors to amplify MSCI’s brand and thought leadership in the APAC Private Assets market.

Own and effectively manage the allocated marketing budget, providing regular reporting on ROI and campaign effectiveness.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Marketing, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in product marketing within financial services, with a strong preference for expertise in private markets, alternative assets, or asset management.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the private assets landscape, including private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure, and related alternative asset classes.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering successful integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across global teams, cultures, and time zones.
  • Strategic mindset with a robust analytical capability, adept at leveraging data-driven insights to inform decisions.
  • Familiarity with regional regulatory requirements affecting financial services marketing in APAC.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in an additional APAC language such as Japanese or Chinese considered a plus.
