Your Team Responsibilities

We are looking to hire a Senior Financial Controller in the Legal Entity Controlling Team. The Team is responsible for local and group accounting and reporting for our entities in the EMEA region. The role is a highly visible regional role primarily responsible for the accounting activities including participation in month end close processes, in monthly analytics preparation and in the process of financial statement/tax return preparation and review. 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Financial accounting for operating entities in the EMEA region 

  • Performing detailed month end close procedures, recording of month end accounting journals, including accruals and other accounting adjustments 

  • Reconciliations of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis 

  • Finance approval of vendor invoices 

  • Responsibility for the preparation of local financial statements under local GAAP for EMEA legal entities of the Group, specifically: cooperation with external accountants, review of the financial statements, cooperation with external tax advisors, assistance in external filings 

  • Review of tax declarations, payment of tax advances in cooperation with local tax advisors 

  • Assistance with external and internal audit enquiries 

  • Participation in upcoming ad-hoc projects: software implementation, utilization of AI, innovation, automation, etc. 

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • College or university degree in finance / accounting 

  • Chartered Accountant or local equivalent accounting qualification 

  • 5-6 years of professional experience in an accounting position. Experience of working within an international organization or in audit / accounting firm is an advantage. 

  • Strong accounting knowledge 

  • High attention to details and good analytical skills 

  • Good language skills: fluency in written and spoken English is required; 

  • Strong PC skills, especially Microsoft Office 

  • High level of motivation, commitment to work hard and a desire to make an impact with all internal and external clients 

  • Team player and desire to work effectively with diverse cultures in a global organization
