Your Team Responsibilities

As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced Build Engineer specializing in Gradle to join our dynamic DevOps team. This position will play a pivotal role in optimizing our continuous integration, delivery, and deployment processes, ensuring efficient software builds, deployments, and Java code refactoring.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Build Engineer specializing in Gradle within the DevOps team at MSCI, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable build systems. In addition to your core focus on Gradle build automation, you will also assist in Java refactoring to ensure the quality, maintainability, and performance of the codebase. Working closely with DevOps engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders, you will ensure seamless integration and delivery of software across multiple environments, improving overall system efficiency.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Extensive experience as a Build Engineer or DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on Gradle build automation.

  • Expertise in Java development and refactoring, with a solid understanding of object-oriented principles and design patterns.

  • Proven experience in writing, optimizing, and maintaining Gradle build scripts for complex applications.

  • Experience working in DevOps environments, automating and optimizing build, test, and deployment pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting build and deployment-related issues.

  • Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Groovy) for automation and DevOps tooling.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
