Your Team Responsibilities

This is an Individual contributor role focussed on working across the breadth of technology, product, and coverage to enhance time to market for Index business.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Innovate with indexes and data to meet client demand and capture a larger share of assets under management (AUM). This involves leveraging MSCI's extensive datasets and calculation engines, enhancing data libraries for portfolio construction, and driving new data sales. Aim to win market share in established categories and disrupt emerging ones with a strong value proposition, competing in the style space in the US, multifactor space in both institutional and ETFs, and against NASDAQ 100 with Growth + Innovation.
  • Champion the program vision, develop a strategic roadmap, and engage with customers for consultation and feedback. Collaborate cross-functionally with research, engineering, design, and other stakeholders throughout the product or feature lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond.
  • Drive the technical delivery roadmap for one or more strategic programs. Foster and manage partnerships with stakeholders across various organizations (engineering, shared services, product team, etc.), as well as external partners and customers.
  • Define and measure success metrics for program features to ensure they deliver business value. Communicate program plans, progress towards business goals, and delivery milestones effectively through reports aligned with initial business objectives and strategy.
  • Create program collateral, requirements specifications, user flow diagrams, and manage the program backlog. Depending on the focus, additional responsibilities may include operations, business development, or aligning multiple internal business or development teams.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: Approximately 7 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a Technical Program Management role or similar position, contributing to cloud services, web applications, or platforms.
  • Product Development: Proven experience in defining and building minimum viable products and iterating over time to launch and maintain stable product lines.
  • Engineering Background: Prior engineering development experience is preferred.
  • Cloud Services: Hands-on experience delivering financial, analytics, SaaS, or other cloud-native services on platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Strategic Contribution: Demonstrated ability to contribute to the 'What & Why', provide technical depth to support the 'How', drive execution across teams, and make reversible decisions and critical trade-offs.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Experience in defining success metrics and outcomes, and making data-driven decisions to influence feature priorities.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, including writing and formal presentation skills to engineers, leadership teams, non-technical stakeholders, and customers.
