Your Team Responsibilities

MSCI ESG Research, part of MSCI LLC, is seeking to expand its Client Coverage Team with a commercially driven and motivated individual with a project manager mindset and keen interest in environmental, social and governance Sustainability & Climate investing. MSCI Sustainability & Climate Research is a fast-growing business and our clients span through some of the world's largest banks, hedge funds, pension funds and asset managers.  

 

In this exciting and dynamic environment, Onboarding Associate s work directly with clients across all market segments. The Onboarding Associate will work together with internal teams and the client from deal close and onboarding kick off: managing all logistical aspects of data requirements and delivery. Being organized and open in communication during the onboarding project is key. The role requires project management skills both in overseeing an onboarding process (with internal stakeholders and client), whilst leading internal projects for onboarding efficiencies.

 

The Onboarding Associate will specialize in competencies such as understanding and being able to advise on data delivery platforms and workflows around it, will be required to have knowledge of the data services and offerings. As a specialist, the Onboarding Manager will work on several projects simultaneously, along with Sustainability & Climate Consultants and Sales – ultimately dedicated to the clients. 

Your Key Responsibilities

• Establish a comprehensive standardized and repeatable process for Sustainability & Climate onboardings & measure methodology adoption and efficiency metrics, and continuously identify process improvement and automation opportunities  

 

• Take full responsibility and accountability for managing client onboarding projects from initiation to seamless transition into operational service  

• Prepare and present clear and detailed project plans and solution definitions that comprise all deliverables. Follow onboarding best practices, and create a predictable and frictionless client experience during the project 

 

• Understand, analyze and consult with Technical teams on technical aspects of the client workflow to define the solution and success criteria, establish and manage reasonable expectations both internally and externally. Organize resources required and establish milestones and timeframes internally and with clients once established. Coordinate internal and external resources & effort on planned tasks, and ensure path to green 

 

• Communicate project status/issues via appropriate media at agreed frequency with all internal and external stakeholders. Identify and communicate risk factors early and follow through on actions/deliverables to ensure project completion  

• Prepare internal and client project deliverables during transition to operational service, including solution & process documentation   

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Management, utilizing business and organizational skills  

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Client engagement management – Client facing, with demonstrable success, ideally in the financial services industry.  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a financial or related major is required. 

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a must, demonstrating superior communication and time management skills  

  • Knowledge in Sustainability & Climate, and the regulatory landscape a plus  

  • Knowledge of and experience with a variety of data platforms and software 

  • Demonstrable team-work and collaboration experience a must 

  • Project management certificate beneficial (PMP, including Agile techniques e.g. Agile Certification)  

  • Self-reliant, detail-oriented and a fast learner
