Your Team Responsibilities

MSCI Inc. is seeking to expand its Sustainability & Climate Client Service team. MSCI Sustainability Research is a leading provider of Sustainability and Climate research to institutional investors globally. Successful candidates will have a financial background, client service experience, and exhibit an interest for the Sustainability & Climate business. They should have proven abilities to develop strong working relationships with external clients learn MSCI Sustainability Research products and guide clients to better use those products. Our clients span some of the world's largest pension funds and asset managers. Managing the relationships for a portfolio of clients exposes the analysts to a wide range of institution types and ensures a challenging role with daily client interactions. To succeed in the role, client service specialists must learn about Sustainability & Climate products and issues, about their client's line of business and investment process, and then bring that knowledge together to provide insight and best practices to those client organizations. Also specialists must be adaptable, eager problem solvers, and able to lead cross-organization teams. Great communications skills are a must as they represent MSCI to all levels of client management.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for queries directed to client services by phone, email or online case management system.
  • Focus on Climate-related queries and requests, provide explanations and resolutions to client's use case and question on Climate data
  • Conduct calls with clients (product and platform training, relationship planning and review, analyst meetings)
  • Act as liaison between client and internal MSCI Sustainability & Climate Research teams for key client initiatives

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • At least 3 years of work experience in Climate or Sustainability (Client Service function would be preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or Master’s Degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Climate Investing, Environment Science, Finance preferred
  • Strong interest in how Sustainability & Climate factors impact the investment process
  • Must be attentive to detail with a willingness to learn and grow per the business goals
  • Must have an appreciation for diverse cultural norms and styles
  • Prior knowledge of MSCI products and experience of a client facing role (preferred)
  • A self-starter and highly motivated, ability to work individually and within a team
