Your Team Responsibilities

As a Business Resiliency Intern in MSCI’s IT Risk department, you will assist with Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery planning and testing activities. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to plan and implement these initiatives.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support for all aspects of Business Continuity (BC) and IT Disaster Recovery (DR), including planning and test coordination.
  • The scope includes business operations at our offices and beyond, IT systems in data centers and cloud environments, and oversight of global business continuity and crisis management.
  • Determine, agree upon, and communicate strategy for our BC and DR management standards.
  • Articulate continuity risks within a business context effectively.
  • Document and maintain procedures and governance concerning continuity plans.
  • Support regular reporting on the state of BC and DR preparedness to senior management.
  • Ensure that contingency planning for business processes, IT systems and office locations is appropriate and current.
  • Ensure periodic testing of BC and DR is properly conducted, document the results, and track remediation of items as necessary.
  • Manage the delivery of awareness trainings and table-top exercises.
  • Ensure training and support are provided to users of the firm's Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) and the incident notification system as part of the planned crisis response.
  • Perform any other task requested by the Manager.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Looking for an internship in global Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery management
  • Currently pursuing a relevant degree, expected to graduate within one semester (BSc in Business Management or Computer Science)
  • Strong English communication, analysis, and presentation skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Combines hands-on, management, and consultancy skills with effective stakeholder management
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Has a balanced approach to risk assessment with high-risk awareness
  • Well organized with effective time management skills
