Your Team Responsibilities

The Facilities Operations and Technology Manager is part of the Corporate Services Department. This role, based in Monterrey, Mexico, will leverage technology to enhance facilities management, optimize operations, and deliver a quality workplace experience for MSCI employees.  The ideal candidate will have expertise in analytics, process improvement, and technology integration, combined with a solid understanding of facilities operations, including engineering, security, and maintenance. They will play a key role in aligning facilities tools and strategies with organizational goals to improve efficiency, safety, and employee satisfaction.

Your Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and oversee essential facilities management services, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Analyze and enhance operational workflows to improve efficiency, reduce redundancies, and align with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards using tools like Power BI to provide actionable insights to leadership and teams.
  • Use data-driven insights to recommend changes in space layouts, densification, or expansion to optimize usage and improve employee experience.
  • Oversee the implementation, integration, and maintenance of workplace technologies, including booking systems, ticketing platforms, and others.
  • Collaborate with IT and external vendors to troubleshoot system issues, ensuring tools align with facilities team requirements.
  • Design and implement automated workflows (e.g., using Power Automate) for recurring tasks to reduce manual efforts, for example automating maintenance schedule reminders.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for improving tools, processes, and layouts based on analytics and user feedback.
  • Actively participate in site emergency response efforts.
  • Act as a liaison between facilities, IT, vendors, procurement and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment of systems and processes.
  • Foster collaboration across diverse teams, guiding them in implementing workplace systems and best practices.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Demonstrated experience with workplace technologies, including Microsoft360, MS Office applications, Power BI, SharePoint, AI, booking systems, etc.
  • Proficiency with automation tools like Power Automate to streamline workflows and processes.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities to interpret operational metrics and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies in tools, systems, and workflows and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead projects involving technology integration and operational changes.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with IT, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to train users, present insights, and foster relationships across departments.
  • Familiarity with facilities operations, including engineering, security technologies, and maintenance practices.
  • Experience with emergency management and business continuity frameworks
  • MSCI is a global firm, so fluent Business English skills, both written and verbal are essential
