Your Team Responsibilities

The team is tasked with educating professional indexed investors at wealth management home offices and model portfolio providers about MSCI indexes used in popular product wrappers such as ETFs and Direct Index SMAs. In addition, the team is responsible for growing the MSCI Americas Wealth Segment by referring subscription-oriented opportunities to colleagues in the coverage organization. 

The team also plays a critical role in advancing the adoption of MSCI Wealth, a comprehensive suite of portfolio management solutions designed to help wealth management firms personalize portfolios at scale. Leveraging MSCI's expertise in risk analytics, sustainability data, climate technology, and private capital insights, the team partners with firms to deliver the personalized experiences investors demand, unlocking opportunities for long-term business growth. 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Expand awareness and use of MSCI indexes, ETFs, Direct Index SMAs, and the broader suite of MSCI Wealth solutions. 
  • Educate professional index-based investors on the advantages of MSCI market cap and investment thesis indexes, as well as tools for portfolio personalization at scale. 
  • Partner with ETF sponsors and other investment organizations offering financial products linked to MSCI indexes. 
  • Contribute to MSCI’s Wealth value proposition through preparation and delivery of educational presentations, thought leadership and strategic content. Understand various client segments and shape content and delivery as applicable.  
  • Develop relationships with senior investment professionals, including CIOs, asset allocation committees, portfolio managers, due diligence staff, and product creators at wealth management firms in the United States. 
  • Collaborate with wealth management organizations to launch Direct Index SMAs and leverage MSCI Wealth capabilities for portfolio construction, management, and sales enablement. 
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing MSCI relationships and create new ones within the wealth management space to meet and exceed MSCI commercial objectives. 
  • Answer detailed client inquiries about MSCI content and methodologies, including portfolio management tools, custom indexing, and private assets evaluation. 

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; CFA charter holder/CAIA designation strongly preferred. 
  • 6-8 years of experience in the financial services industry. 
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of direct sales or relationship management experience with a proven record of accomplishment. 
  • Technical investment expertise, including outstanding knowledge of ETFs, SMAs, and their competitive landscape, as well as an in-depth understanding of capital markets and the impact of economic factors.  
  • A digital and data-driven mentality to develop and carry out a strategic business plan, including the adoption of technologies that improve efficiency and lead to an enhanced client experience. 
  • Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, coupled with excellent listening skills and a natural inclination to focus on meeting client needs. 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. 
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with a deep understanding of global markets, investment strategy, and the use of indexes in the investment process (asset allocation, benchmarking, portfolio attribution, reporting, etc.). 
  • Proven track record in client-facing success and relationships with home office staff at wealth management organizations and model portfolio builders. 
  • Familiarity with MSCI Wealth’s comprehensive offerings, including tools for portfolio construction, management, and sales enablement. 
  • Great networking and interpersonal skills. 
  • Innovative, entrepreneurial, client-centric thinker with a strong consultative sales drive.
