Your Team Responsibilities

The MSCI Global Client Service team is composed of experienced financial professionals that provide first tier support for our institutional clients around the world. Team members are responsible for responding to a wide variety of methodology, usage, interpretational, and technical questions on our line of products and services. Client contact is primarily via email and telephone, but occasional travel may be required for on-site presentations or trainings. The team members work closely with account managers and consultants to develop and maintain client relationships.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand our application tool’s user account maintenance and functionalities
  • Learn and understand the various market and financial portfolio and risk management concepts used in our application tools
  • Assist the team with day-to-day query allocation and satisfactory resolution of operational, data and intermediate analytics client queries using combined knowledge of BarraOne/BPM/Risk Manager, financial quantitative tools, market and financial risk methodologies and other risk management concepts
  • Assist clients in navigating, researching and understanding the latest research materials on portfolio and risk management, product features, factor models, risk models, etc. stored in MSCI’s Client Support Site 
  • Monitor market and product developments to be up-to-date and relevant in providing support to clients 
  • Recommend methodology and product enhancements based on client interaction and feedback to Consultants and appropriate internal teams as contribution to the firm’s product development and enhancement efforts 
  • Provide on-site client presentations or trainings which may require travel
  • Participate in developing client relationships through proactive follow up on issues raised by clients
  • Provide client feedback to the Coverage, Product Management, Research, and Production groups

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • A self-starter who is highly motivated, and can work individually and within a team
  • Deep understanding of international financial institutions and global financial markets
  • Demonstrates strong analytic, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, and understanding of financial topics, such as: modern portfolio theory, market portfolio construction, optimization, CAPM, multi-factor risk models, financial derivatives’ pricing model, market risk, liquidity risk, credit risk, and Value-At-Risk (VAR), and/or statistical topics, such as: probability theory, statistical inference, matrix theory, multivariate analysis, time series analysis
  • Ability to articulate well in the English language complicated concepts or methodologies verbally and in writing to senior management and clients. Advantage for candidates who knows or keen to learn Thai language.
  • Strong organizational skills having the ability to handle multiple projects under tight and short-term deadlines, and keen attention to details
  • Ability to work efficiently with diverse cultures on a global team, and knowing when to involve appropriate colleagues in projects regardless of function, geography, and business line
  • Ability to develop value-added contributions to both internal and external clients
