Your Team Responsibilities

The Sales Technology Team at MSCI plays a critical role enabling internal teams to manage and execute business processes across the Opportunity to Order value chain (Opportunity pipeline management and Contract Lifecycle Management) as well as Order to Cash processes (integrations with ERP). Salesforce @ MSCI is the strategic platform used by Sales, Client Service, Sales Operations, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, and other business units to achieve their business objectives.  

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a Salesforce Professional with a strong focus on platform operations and technical support to join our team. This role will primarily focus on troubleshooting existing Salesforce applications, resolving technical issues, maintaining system stability, and providing expert support to our internal users, with opportunities to be involved in new development projects as well. You will be part of Platform Operations Team and will be responsible to understand the issues and concerns raised by Business, and to deep dive into investigations to come up with efficient solutions. Success in this position requires one to be a self-starter, a curious learner, and a good collaborator and communicator (both in written and verbal skills).     

 

RESPONSIBLITIES: 

  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Salesforce customizations, integrations, data integrity, and system performance.
  • Provide timely and accurate support to end-users on Salesforce functionalities, resolving queries and addressing technical challenges.
  • Analyze existing Apex code, identify issues, and implement bug fixes to ensure system stability and functionality.
  • Work closely with other technical teams, including system administrators, business analysts, and project managers to identify and address technical challenges.
  • Develop, test, and deploy custom solutions using Apex, Aura, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and other Salesforce technologies. 
  • Support Salesforce integration with external systems using REST, SOAP, and other APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). 
  • Monitor Salesforce system health, identify potential issues, and implement preventative measures to mitigate risks, manage releases updates initiated by Salesforce.
  • Continuous learning of new technical and product capabilities from Salesforce, inclusive of keeping apprised of updates in each release as well as industry best practices with web development. 

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

DESIRED SKILLS: 

  • In-depth understanding of Sales and Service cloud, with a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform architecture and capabilities.  Pardot expertise would be a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse global cross-functional team across different levels and functions. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose complex technical issues quickly and efficiently, with a keen attention to detail and quality. 
  • High sense of responsibility and ownership.  
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple in-progress tasks while keeping all tasks on track for Platform Operations Team.

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce developer with a strong focus on platform operations and technical support, preferably with certifications in Administrator, Platform Developer I and II. 
  • Proven track record of effectively maintaining and troubleshooting custom Salesforce applications in a production environment.
  • Expert in configuring and customizing Salesforce to meet business requirements using capabilities such as Lightning Design System, Apex, Aura, Lightning Web Components, Flows, Page Layouts, Triggers, Validation Rules, Workflows, REST / SOAP APIs, and other Salesforce features. 
  • Proficient in Salesforce development tools, including Salesforce CLI (DX IDE), migration tools, SOSL, SOQL, web services, app builder. 
  • Experience with Agile development and project issue tracking tools such as JIRA is a plus. 
  • Experience or knowledge of Java and Spring Boot is a plus
