Your Team Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Client Service Analyst to join our Client Coverage organization in Monterrey. The MSCI Global ESG Client Service team is composed of experienced financial professionals that provide first tier support for our ESG clients around the world. Team members are responsible for responding to a wide variety of methodology, usage, interpretational, and technical questions on the ESG products. The ESG CS Analyst will strive to become considered as a product and client type expert within the CS group. The ESG CS Analyst will work with consultants, sales team and clients and as he/she gains further experience will also be delegated accounts. Client contact is primarily via telephone and email. 

 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison between client and internal MSCI ESG Research teams for key client initiatives 
  • Key contributor to growth by achieving high retention rates and increasing productivity 
  • Understand the investment process from our clients via the internal data workflow and unveil new investment strategies that may lead to new product creation 
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the ESG data processing within each team of the covered clients 
  • Communicating client data management process and use case within the organization and work towards implementation of proposed enhancements 
  • Contributing to the account management and sales function by maintaining regular contact with all assigned clients 
  • Responsible for delivering client education and product training 
  • Be a subject matter expert on all aspects of our ESG products and methodologies, and be able to answer detailed client inquiries 
  • Become a Trusted Advisor by applying both product and client expertise to pro-actively identify solutions/product usage that create value for the client – hence contributing directly to up-selling and cross-selling opportunities 
  • Provide thought-leadership by sharing best practices within the client community, and leading workshops and seminars 
  • Perform frequent testing of new product features 
  • Continually assess target market to understand positioning of MSCI's ESG Research products. 
  • Manage client inquiry and issue resolution process using SalesForce.com and other internal tools 

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Degree in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, industrial engineers, chemical engineers, or sustainability field.  
  • Strong interest in ESG and how ESG factors impact the investment process 
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written). 
  • CFA or MFE or MBA or Master’s Degree, while not indispensable, are desired.  
  • Understanding of international financial institutions and global financial markets. 
  • Strong analytic, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Solid analytical background is desired. 
  • A self-starter and highly motivated, ability to work individually and within a team.  
  • Ability to articulate complicated concepts or methodologies verbally and in writing to senior management and clients.  
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight, short-term deadlines. 
  • Track record of excelling in an environment of ambiguity by quickly adapting behavior and work methods to adjust to multiple demands and shifting   priorities.  
  • Ability to work efficiently with diverse cultures on a global team and knowing when to involve appropriate colleagues in projects regardless of functional, geographic, and business lines. 
  • Ability to develop value-added contributions to both internal and external clients. 
  • Strong commercial orientation and business vision.  
  • Client exposure experience is desired. Very good interpersonal skills. 
  • Track record of challenging self and others to anticipate future trends and creatively capitalize on opportunities.
