Your Team Responsibilities

Team and position overview: 

 

The Index & Analytics marketing team is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategy and campaigns to support MSCI’s ambitious index and analytics business growth objectives. The marketing organization at MSCI is a dynamic and fast-growing global function responsible for marketing and communicating our solutions and services to the world’s investors to help them build better portfolios. 

 

As a leading provider of data and tools, we continue to grow our global footprint with institutional investors, asset/wealth managers, banks, hedge funds, pension funds, advisors and corporations.  

 

The role of Associate, Index & Analytics Marketing, sits at the intersection of the Index and Analytics Marketing teams and is pivotal in accelerating our index & analytics solutions business, with a focus on APAC’s regional priorities as well as global campaigns.  

 

This is a highly collaborative role with great opportunity for impact, working across the business lines, and with senior members of the marketing team in PR, content, design, digital, events, and product. MSCI is a pioneer and a leader in the industry, pushing the envelope on investor-driven solutions, standard-setting, transparency, and research across asset classes. The Associate, Index and Analytics Marketing, will report into the Head of Index & Analytics Marketing for APAC within the MSCI product marketing team.  This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-[aced environment, manage multiple stakeholders in the APAC region and contribute to the success of our team.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Head of Index & Analytics Marketing to develop marketing strategies and initiatives for the APAC region, aligned with business objectives, for both internal and external audiences
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and senior leaders to refine messaging and positioning for research and product campaigns to meet the evolving needs of the APAC markets
  • Assist in the development of regional personas for new client segments such as banks, wealth management, and insurance in various local markets, such as Japan, Mainland China, and Australia
  • Define campaign KPIs and leverage campaign analytics to determine success criteria, efficacy and ongoing optimization opportunities for APAC specific campaigns
  • Partner closely with the Centre of Excellence (COE) team to execute multi-channel marketing campaigns aimed at driving lead generation, engagement, and conversion. Utilize digital marketing tactics, events, webinars, and thought leadership initiatives to amplify the reach and impact of marketing efforts
  • Coordinate and oversee regular maintenance and updates of Index & Analytics evergreen collateral, pitchbooks, factsheets, brochuresand website content both in English and local languages (Chinese and Japanese)
  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives and provide actionable insights to help guide strategies for brand positioning, client retention and development, product innovation, and industry partnerships.
  • Develop and expand relationships with partners, suppliers, and key industry associations
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments in the investment sector. Conduct market research to identify target segments, understand client needs, and inform product positioning based on both local and regional trends
  • Manages and executes the allocated budget and report on ROI of launches and the wider campaigns

 

 

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

 

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or related field 
  • 4+ years’ experience in driving product marketing and communications strategieswithin the financial services industry
  • Good understanding of the Index and data market and how it impacts the investment process
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, refine and communicate the various voices and messages of the company to key stakeholders; as well as strong project management skills to coordinate and influence the different teams globally
  • Proven experience in managing multiple stakeholders across corporate environments, professional services, etc.
  • Excellent program management, administration, and organizational skillsto thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns
  • Process-driven, attentive to details with proven experience of managing content production processes
  • Digital and social savvy with solid experience in data-driven approach to enhance client engagement
  • Ability to embrace and take ownership of projects
  • Global awareness and sensitivity in working across time zones and cultures
