Your Team Responsibilities

The MSCI Index Sales Specialist drives the growth of our index business primarily with Asset Managers, Wealth Managers, and Banks in the French-speaking region of Switzerland. This includes managing existing client relationships as well as expanding into new accounts. We follow a consultative selling approach, aiming to understand our clients’ investment processes thoroughly and seeking to add value through our indexes and tools. Working with MSCI clients also involves presenting our research publications and helping them apply these insights to their benefit. Our knowledge about institutional investors is of great interest to many investment managers.

 

 

This office-based position in Geneva is highly visible, operating in a targeted, sales-driven environment. The Index Sales Specialist will be involved in various aspects of account management, including senior-level relationship management, product demonstrations, contract negotiation, and increasing revenue through new sales and strategic account planning.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship management with existing clients
  • Identify areas of incremental growth opportunities
  • Prospect clients and establish new client relationships
  • Position new MSCI products and MSCI research
  • Strategic account planning
  • Answer detailed client inquiries about MSCI products and methodologies
  • Maintain accurate records regarding account visits, client conversations, etc.
  • Pro-actively solicit client feedback regarding new initiatives and future product development
  • Provide feedback from clients to Management, Research and Product Development

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Expertise in the Asset Management, Banking or financial services industry
  • Familiar with the investment processes of AMs/WMs
  • Knowledge of the European financial market & trends
  • Familiar with MS Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint
  • Fluent in French and English
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant sales experience
  • Superior communication and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Master/CFA would be a plus)
