MSCI Inside Analytics API team works on various analytics APIs which increase the adoption and usage of MSCI Factor Models and Analytics for portfolio construction and risk management to enable MSCI clients to make more informed investment decisions powered by MSCI Factor Analytics.

We work on services that are used by financial customers to make meaningful decisions on behalf of millions of people. We are responsible for key components of the service, and drive development, testing and support. We continuously learn and grow with challenges of a designing and developing large-scale fault tolerant systems.

Ensuring the quality of architecture and design of systems.

• Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.

• Implement solution in Java, Spring Boot, Scala, Azure & other technologies

• Possess fundamental knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices.

• Exert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience.

• Leverage new technology paradigms (e.g., serverless, containers, microservices).

• Migrate monolithic applications to micro services architectures.

• Document the best-practice technical methodologies and share with the broad development to optimize workflow.

• Influence infrastructure architecture by sharing your application development expertise.

We are looking for an Associate level Software Developer to join our team and help us develop and scale services to the next level.

To apply for this role, you should:

• Have solid analytical, design and problem diagnosis skills

• Experience with development and design of high-performance distributed systems.

• Highly-motivated and thrive in an environment where problems are open-ended.

• Hands-on working experience in Java and Spring.

• Strong understanding of Computer fundamentals, Functional programming and Object Oriented Design and Data Structures.

• Understanding to how applications and services work in a Cloud Containerization environment

• Have experience in developing consumer facing products/applications

• Ability to work within deadlines and effectively prioritize and execute on tasks.

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to communicate across teams, internal and external at all levels.
