The team co-owns the development of the Open Optimizer along with an internal Research team.
This involves constant improvements of the product quality, speed, scalability and lifecycle of the code and system.
The team will work on business requirements and internal or API requirements as required.
We are looking for someone to work in the development side of the optimization team. The successful candidate would
- develop optimization library and its integration to various client’s applications and MSCI products.
- be directly involved in the support of internal and external clients.
- collaborate closely with Research, Product Management, Financial Engineering, Data Operation and IT Infrastructure on all stages of software development life cycle.
- collaborate with geographically distributed team of highly skilled and motivated individuals
BSc or PhD level degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Finance or other relevant discipline
Solid mathematical/financial background
At least 2 years of C/C++ development experience in quantitative field
Good communication skills
Ability and desire to learn new tools and technologies
Other desired skills: Knowledge of optimization, Python, Java or XML
