Your Team Responsibilities

You will be part of MSCI's ESG Rating team leadership, supporting the management of a global team of analysts maintaining ESG ratings on over 10,000 issuers. Supporting delivery of MSCI’s strategic priorities within ESG: sharpening the focus on its engagement with issuers and investors and continuing to build on and enhance MSCI’s market leading position in ESG ratings. You will interact with investors, issuers and other intermediaries to ensure that the team meets these stated objectives. In addition, you will collaborate with colleagues across multiple geographies and teams to deliver a consistent global approach to ESG ratings.

Your Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to support and enhance the processes and framework within which MSCI's ESG ratings team is able to review and analyze data and apply a rules-based methodology to determine Ratings for companies based on its ESG performance. Your specific responsibilities shall include:

  • Support objective of delivering timely and well diligenced ESG ratings on companies in our global coverage on a timely basis.
  • Support implementation of quality control measures and oversee research conducted by other members of the ESG ratings team;
  • Co-ordinate with internal and external suppliers in enhancing the quality of the data sourced
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of ESG ratings model
  • Contribute in implementing processes critical for ensuring operational stability, as well as driving innovation.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 9+ years of experience within ESG, credit ratings, credit risk (or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills and thought leadership · Strong background in rating (ESG or Credit) processes and procedures (committee processes, analyst responsibilities, ratings criteria/methodologies, regulatory framework)
  • Experience in engaging on ratings with issuers, investors and advisors
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team, set and achieve objective
