Your Team Responsibilities

Key support to work on activities that identify strategic areas for Internal Capital Allocation (ICAP), performance measurement and expense management within the core product lines of MSCI. Candidate will be a crucial part of FP&A team and would be reporting into a Vice President and provide support on expense framework and project tracking. Excellent collaboration, team work and coordination are some of the soft skills critical for this role. Stakeholder management experience, if any, would be an added advantage for the role.

Your Key Responsibilities

· Work closely with the senior team members to help them manage internal capital allocation for product line(s) within MSCI in terms of identifying the right areas for investment and reporting the same to the Management

· Provide critical support to manage the internal processes, update the ICAP models, prepare presentations, and help on day-to-day activities

· Candidate must have clear understanding of the expenses and prior experience of reporting the same

· Help team in tracking the invested amount in terms of its cost and benefits and ensuring it is backed by right justification

· Create / update excel models and analyze on a pro-active basis the performance of the product line and summarize conclusions by providing key takeaways to business heads

· Candidate should have the ability to provide justification that can help the team influence the relevant parties explaining the rational for a certain decision

· Should ensure good control over ICAP reporting within critical management decks like Board Deck, Quarterly Financials Review, Strategy related decks, Quarterly Business Reviews etc.

· Given the reporting is leveraged by the senior management, work is reviewed at multiple levels candidate must have the ability to deliver the required output in minimum timeframe with great precision and accountability

· Should have the ability to work independently with minimum support and deliver on required output and at the same time should be able to work within the larger team on common initiatives with ease and collaborative mindset

· Should possess strong FP&A skillset to provide support on budget and forecast processes and handling queries regarding the area or work handled

· Driving standardization and automation of existing reports across various segments/functions

· Candidate must have excellent PowerPoint skills and should be hands on with the same

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

· Minimum relevant experience of 3 years in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function

· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Tax, Accounting or Accounting required. CA or MBA Finance, Tax, Accounting would be preferred

· Should be extremely well versed with MS PowerPoint

· Requires strong proficiency in MS Excel skills. Knowledge of creating macros and large database management will be added advantage

· Must be a team player and should be able to collaborate with other members of the team

· Experience of stakeholder management is an added advantage

· Strong Finance, Tax, Accounting experience in a professional business environment

· Proactive individual who should take initiative with an analytical bent of mind

· Should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
